MacBooks vs. Windows?

Im thinking of buying a laptop but i cant decide between MacBooks or Windows. Can you help me out, which one should i get and why?
It depends on :

1. Your Budget?
2. What types of tasks do you intend to do on the Laptop?

You can't go wrong with Windows.
Linux is a good alternative, but Windows is overall better for most people.

Just get a MacBook. You can run Windows or Linux or any other OS with native performance easily on a MacBook. Same can’t be told about a windows laptop.

I prefer using Win on PC and Macbook as a laptop. Also, I have an iPhone so the ecosystem between my phone and laptop is friendly. Also, considering maybe changing my PC OS to Linux.

Not with apple silicon (natively) though. Parallels does work but I have heard bad things about it (like the machine getting overheated) and I didn’t have the courage to try it out.

Why even bother with windows though, if you are used to mac? Windows doesn’t have anything that macs don’t have. Windows is a security hell as well. :p

Windows with hackintosh installed on virtual machine.

Get windows, cheap n easy hardware modification, lots of software options but well know for OS issues.
MAc is costly, paid apps but error free OS

I can live with the “costly” comment although mac minis are the best in the price range for what they can deliver. Same goes for mac pros as well to be honest.

However, this perception that in mac you have to pay for everything, is simply wrong and opinionated.

I have two macs. 90% of the softwares I use are free. The rest 10% are paid even on windows. Good part is that mac already comes with a bunch of awesome softwares completely free. You might not need to buy some softwares like you are used to on windows.

So please, don’t say these lol. Or please show me a case where a software is free on windows, but paid on macs.

MacBook, you can install a window or Linux partition on it

I suggest windows 10, WIth 13 to 14 Inch Size, 2 in 1, With Touch Screen

Well you gotta try it first. I’m using parallels on Apple silicon and haven’t noticed any such issues so far. Windows 11 runs real smooth but that’s all the windows you can run well as for now. Maybe in the future Microsoft would release more windows versions with ARM support. There can be many use case where windows is needed though.

Cool, I will buy it then!

macbooks are good because they are a certain price range,
if you were to buy a windows laptop at the same price as a macbook ($1000+) then I am sure it would perform exactly the same, if not even better, depending on your preference of OS...
