I'm thinking about using content lockers but frankly I do not have anything that people will want so much that they would do a survey. Movies can be downloaded easily from torrents, trailers can be watched easily on YT, free ebooks are available everywhere.. so I can't think of anything that people will want from me EXCEPT if I lie. By that I mean, I tell them they can download a movie named ABC here and I lock it. The movie ABC will release in August but some people will still download it. But most content lockers say that "When an end-user completes a survey on this Widget, they MUST receive what is promised to them on the Widget IMMEDIATELY. This means no broken links, broken promises, fake or misleading content. It is your job to ensure the content promised is available to your end-users 100% of the time."

So my question do people do this? lie about the downloads? and not get banned.

dont be the Mr.Perfect maan!!!world is not for good people these days

I have started with cpa***d content locking ,when i started IM,
I quit soon and thought that ,this is impossible to earn through content lockers,
and started promoting email submits[CPA]
but now i can say that content lockers is the KING of CPA,but the thing is how you get the traffic

i suppose you could lie to them... but you'll have to be careful not to get banned from the cpa network....

i don't recall a thread specifically about this at the moment, but i have seen it mentioned a few times. so yeah, some people are doing this.

if you have a decent network then ur good. most CPA companies are horrible places. Hit me up if you want the best one.

i agree with this. the world has never been for good people

but, i actually asked an affiliate manager one time about this exact situation and he said lying is fine!

yeah. they do always lie. offer them a beta key for an upcoming PC games (Diablo 3, call of duty, etc...).

actually you would be damn surprised at how many people refuse to do this:

right-click---->delete---->empty recyclebin--->click-click-click--->~redownload~

Unless you're trying to build an established site, it's very easy to lie to them because, well, they'll just move on if they don't get what they want. As long as you have more traffic coming then you have nothing to worry about.

The only problem could be with the affiliate network; for this I'd recommend a self hosted content locker where you can blank and fake the referers to cover your tracks.

Well in most cases they are trying to dl illegal copies of say for instance of the newest call of duty or rihannes latest album what ever.

So they aren't pure angels so you shouldn't be worried about the visitor unless you try to establish a site with recurring visitors.

And most advertisers still get a shitload of info they can use to market to that person(at least if you use incent offers)

You could also say if it's a keygen(just a fake one) for a game. Make your offers on your locker as closely related to something that might interest the visitor like a gamestop giftcard,a free xbox what ever.

well if u use cpa u must provide on users that what thye clicked for after they fill suervey otherwise it iwll be miss lead.
