is it safe to lie on your "main real" linkedin account or do people on that network usually check ur credentials. i.e degree, past jobs,? doing it to spice up my rookie profile but dnt want to get caught but looking for some input with anyone who has used linkedin

I have to say as a civilian and businessman alike, it's far better to actually go GET referrals and jobs to spice up your portfolio. When a possible future employer discovers you lied, you just showed them you don't take yourself serious enough to gain actual experience.

Unless lying isn't something you're worried about or if you're not concerned with possibly getting caught, then go for it. However, it'd be my suggestion to actually get real experience and referrals/recommendations rather than posting fake experience and credentials.

Maybe if you paid for referrals on Fiverr for instance you could get them from people who in fact have small llcs,
and the "work" you did for them was all online anyway. Buy 4 fiverr gigs from 4 appropriate sellers with actual
companies. Once your foot gets in the door you won't have to lie any more.
