Hello everyone,

I want to make another account as I have a 32k account now and feel I'm ready for a 2nd

Everyone says make a page you're passionate about.. Well after much thought and brainstorming I've come to the conclusion I'm not passionate about anything

So I've thought of luxury then went a tad more specific and thinking of luxury cars.

I know it's a very obvious choice but it must be obvious for a reason right?

What are your thoughts?

Thanks, Jordan

im in the cars niche and consistently every photo i post of a supercar it gets fewer like than others.

although my followers are all car people and i post a wide variety of cars, i suppose if you specifically tager supercar lover it can work out, but lots lots of kids are obsessed with supercars and have seen other supercar niche pages filled with kids commenting on them.

personally i also find supercars boring after a while(on the web that is) and lose interest in posting them. but that's just me

Thanks for your reply!

Have you thought about engagement groups?

And the kids commenting is surely a good thing.

And yeah I think I'll lose interest after a while tbh as well. Probably won't do that.. Also thinking the more obvious mens fashion.. Idk though haha still thinking

I don't work with Instagram, but what if instead of targeting supercars, he targets something like older Mercedes'? A lot of the somewhat wealthy older people love the 1970-1990's models (W123, W124, W126, etcetera), and the cars have an "old money" look to them, so you don't have to worry about attracting a bunch of kids.

In my experience, the idea that a person should choose a niche they are passionate about is only ever true if a person knows they'll lose motivation if they dont do something they love.

I'm going to be honest, most of the big players in IG aren't posting or promoting things they actually care about, they're posting things that generate the most engagement from their target market.

If you personally know that you're not going to be able to maintain an IG account that you're not passionate about, then by all means choose a niche you love. But after you scale up to more and more accounts as well as better and better engagement, money is your motivator, not the niche you chose.

ive thought about starting an engagement group as i have not yet come across one for the cars niche

ehhh... kids depends on what your end goal is, but kids dont buy stuff and they wouldn't read a carblog (which is my goal).

its really your choice and what your end goal is, like if you want to get in on OGads or shoutouts then choose whichever gets the most engagement, or if you plan starting a website do what you love

you could but it's a very specific niche and not too easy to monetise,

its really one the supercars that attract lots of kids all cars outside of that are good

Since OP is not really concerned with whichever niche he has he should look at which one could be most profitable and marketable.

How about crazy customised cars? Or old cars that have been revamped? (Like the VW scene for example - people do crazy customisation son vw beetles).

Got to try and think outside the box so you are not posting the same old super car pics that everyone else is posting.

my main account is focused on car photography and focusing on showcasing all types of the car niche the others are focused on: euro cars, musclecars, driftcars and stanced cars

i've got pretty much every scene covered but that's not the issue, they only slight annoyance is that supercars attract kids, thats my only warning to Op. the car miche is great on instagram and can be monetised quite well :)

That's interesting. I've really only ever looked at the niche from the consumer side, but I know there's a huge market for new and used parts as well as specialised tools in that niche (right now, the 2 parts that have quadrupled in price in the last year due to the large demand are the new W126 Idle Air Control Valve and the Timing Chain Tensioner), so I figured OP could monetise it that way.

So I've thought of luxury then went a tad more specific and thinking of luxury cars.

Depends what do you want to do with this account.

Are you looking to monetize it or just get a large following for your ego?

AS mentioned by some others aboce, you could go for something + luxury cars. Add another keyword and create a sub niche.
