Hey guys! I am Luis, a 32-year-old freelance writer, web designer and budding Internet marketer from the Philippines. I quit my day job in 2009 and since then, I've been trying to make a consistent online income. I've made several affiliate commissions from a few blogs and websites, but they're nothing to write home about. Lately, I'm earning a few dollars from CloudCrowd writing and editing articles, which earned me $800+ since November 2012. Some days they don't have any work that's worth my effort, so I'm planning to start a website and get freelance writing clients myself.
I also create websites for several local clients. I charged $100 for custom-built websites which was a huge mistake because I now have stingy clients who expect me to do major revisions for a pittance. So I'm now closing my doors to web design clients in order to concentrate on freelance writing and Internet marketing.
My Goals for 2013
I'm glad that the world didn't end so I still have the chance to become rich.
My goal for 2013 is to earn $100,000 in profits for the whole year. Yes, I know that I sound too ambitious and people may say that I have unrealistic goals, but I've always been an ambitious person who dream of becoming a billionaire one day. Nevertheless, I will work hard and smart to achieve this goal. With the money, I plan to build my own house because I'm ashamed to still be living with my parents at such an advanced age. LOL.
What I Will Do To Achieve My Goals
To achieve my lofty goals, I will work on a combination of freelance writing, blogging, affiliate marketing, and email marketing. I'm already adept in freelance writing and blogging, so need to learn more about affiliate marketing and email marketing. I have plans for several authority sites and have set up a few, but they lacked promotion and SEO so they don't see much traffic.
Here are the websites that I'm working on:
So basically, I will earn money from freelance writing and then use a portion of the profits to bankroll my Internet marketing projects. Aside from the websites listed above, I am planning to create small websites to promote affiliate products and services. I know how to create websites and write good content, so I need to focus more on traffic generation and SEO. I will also build a mailing list from my websites by enticing visitors to subscribe using a free ebook or any valuable freebie.
I have to admit that I'm a fairly lazy guy. I have to change my habits for the better. So instead of waking up at 10 AM, I need to sleep early and wake up at 7 or 8 AM. I'm also fairly addicted to the computer. I need to set a limit of 6-8 hours of work per day. Then for exercise, I plan to start jogging next month. There's no turning back for me now.
My starting budget is $200 which was part of the money I earned from CloudCrowd. On January 1, 2013, I will post my first entry. I'll try my best to post everyday. Then every end of the month, I will post my monthly earning summary. Wish me luck guys and thanks for reading!

Here are the websites that I'm working on:
- Freelance writing site = Get clients and earn money from freelance writing projects. The money will help bankroll my IM projects.
- Web hosting review site = Tough niche, but I earned $200+ from it this year. I'm planning to revamp the site and drive more traffic.
- Giveaways and freebies site = About 1000 UV per month. Labor-intensive so I'm planning to hire an outsourcer to post freebies on it regularly. Earned about $20 from Adsense and CPA.
- Local travel information site = Easy to rank in this niche since the competition is weak except for one old-ass authority site which I think I can beat for certain keywords. No content yet.
- Home remedies site = Didn't actually plan to enter this niche but I accidentally stumbled on an expired domain with tons of backlinks so I bought it. No content yet.
- Make money online blog = Oh no! Another MMO blog! I don't care if there are lots of MMO blogs but I plan to stand out with my unique and entertaining way of writing.
