LPT: Backup your data on the cloud.

So, i wanted to reinstall Win10 on my PC. I saved personal and work data to my flash drive, checked if it's saved then pulled it out and reinstalled it. Couple of days passed and i wanted to copy the data back to my hard drive. I opened the usb, and all data folders were there except they were 80% empty lol

Not sure what happened, something probably interrupted copying process while i was making pancakes.

I lost over 30-40 .docs, login info, passwords, etc. Soo... Saving data on few different places from now on with having a backup on the cloud.

Always when I’m reloading I do two copies - one straight data copy and one image backup with something like acronis true image.

Also, always do a size AND item count on the source and destination files.

Also if you’re copying a large number of files you can also use robocopy- commend line tool that will produce log file of all copied files.
