Low Reach...Active Page?

My friend has 103k page and over 40k talking about this...

Photos made over 500-1k likes.

But his links, statuses and photos posts reaching only 5k.

He publishing 1 post per hour...

How is possible?

What is the reason?

likes don't get you much reach, just PTA, reach is considered more on share count, so for 500 like on the page size unless you have around 50 shares, 5,000 reach sounds about right for picture posts

Likes is really different than reach ....if he is getting even 5k reach that is good..but for page of 100k likes and talking about 40k I don't think reach should be around 5k. It has to be above 10k+

For 40K talking about this, 5K is normal I would say.
If you want to increase the reach, try to share posts that involve activity like user commenting. You will see the difference.
One of my 200K page had a reach of 400K for one pic.

As you said 1 post per hour
If your post doesn't remain more than 1 hour on top then it will not get that much reach you expect.
On my 2k page I post 1 pic per day and get 70-100 likes and it gets 1000-1500 reach easily. Sometimes people miss updates so they go to your page to see your recent post.

i have this problem, last days facebook show total poor reach here is screen - http://d.pr/i/Kn9q
But post with 147 shares and 120likes must see more than 437 people, i think facebook have bug and show bad number
