I have a large account that was reactivated a few months ago. The first day it was recovered engagement was normal. After that it’s been extremely low. I was searching forums to see what may help. I paid ig to promote one of my ads and it seemed like a waste of money (engagement didn’t change either.) another user mentioned deactivating my account for a week.. has anyone tried this? Does anyone have any advice? I rub my account manually and have worked on building it for years

is your account Adult?

No it’s a regular account I do promotions on

They are screwing it more and more.
I don't know what happened in your case but in my case they blocked all hastags related to my adult niche and did something to all account who were using those hashtags too. A new type of ban not a shadowban not a regular ban but something else.
I was getting 500 to 900 followers daily and now it hardly hit 40.
Same happened to those accounts who were using same tags as mine. Even big models accounts.

Have you tried to temporarily deactivate your account to see if that helps?

Look like your Engagment trafiq getting bottle neck. Anyone got OP

It's same here, getting avg. 200 followers a day, blocking avg. 20, likes went down by 25%, stopped doing anything ( i left boting a while back) for a week, changed a bit and then again went down. I just do shout-outs.

There's actually already a thread that goes into much better detail about recovering engagement, but I was face with a similar situation and followed their steps to recover and increase engagement. The first thing you want to do is really cater to the followers who are actually engaging with your content, even if it's only a handful. If they like your stuff go back and like and comment on there's ( do this with 10-20 of the people that are engaging with you). After you've increased your engagement with them focus on the content you post, a lot of people don't like to admit or are oblivious to see that they're posting poor content. High quality videos will save you I promise, viewers tend to engage with videos better than they do pics. If you're posting high quality content I promise you it'll spread on it's on. I went from a large only getting 2-3% engagement to 12-15% engagement in a couple of months just by following these easy steps.

It seems to be happening across many different niches. Your not the only one feeling drop in engagement. It will only get worse as Facebook starts to push a "pay to play" model.

Similar things happened on facebook, organic reach died and pages were forced to buy engagement.

The best thing I can suggest is better content or get into a comment pod.

Hey do you have any experience with slideshow video content or are you referring to real videos only?

I do think a slideshow can be high quality if it's edited nicely.

I've never dabbled with slideshows, I personally only use high quality videos. If you're going to use slideshows you're going to have to be sure that your video cover looks amazing to grab your viewers attention. As a marketer keep in mind that your followers are usually scrolling pretty fast and only tend to stop if the cover of a video/slideshow looks interesting. But slideshows are definitely an amazing idea to create "video" engagement.
