Low CTR On Google, Why?

Here Newbie Need a Help With his CTR Conversion

I Have Website that targeted USA audience.

Day by Day my website Serp was Up and Up

But, my Google CTR is Very Low...

On Global Search, my website got seen by 1300+ and had 30 Click from google (2.26% CTR)

On United States Search, My Website got seen by 700+ and just had 5 Click from google search (0.7% CTR)

Why my website CTR was so low ?
any suggestion for rising my CTR ?

What position are you in

Hard to say without more data/info to look at.

Consider optimizing your title tag for better CTR. Title tags stuffed with keywords don't always get good CTR if they're below position 5. https://www.advancedwebranking.com/cloud/ctrstudy/

Also use some microdata/schema to try and get a rich snippet on your serp result.

Page title and meta description are important when it comes to CTR. I would improve those in the first place.

It is a bit old, and a lot has changed since then, but it should give you a good idea. Below you'll find an decent breakdown of CTR for search position—note the sharp drop off...



By comparison—#1 on the first page sees 32% CTR and #1 on Second page sees 4%. Many factors can affect this, notably valid schema review stars & etc.., but this is a good general idea.

To give you a fuller answer, I would ask you which position your keyword is currently ranking, and for how long it has been in that position?

Without these two its very hard to get good rank on search engine,think how your site will look in search when you do not have any meta or title.

Thank you very much for your valuable link, and i think i quite know why my CTR still low, my best Impression Keyword is on Page 3 - 5

Im using Yoast Seo to editing my snipet, and for some tag i using desc. like "High Quality bla2 with addorable price for those fans of...." or "Click here if you willing to...."

i don't know what microdata/schema is... i will google it later

You would want to consider the CTR Chart for individual keywords rather than your site as a whole. For example, take a look at the chart below:

This is for a keyword I have ranking for #1, and you can see the average CTR is ~35%

On the other hand, below you can see a chart for a random keyword that I know I'm currently on page 3 for:


As you can see, these charts are dependent upon unique keywords. For this particular site, I know that I am only ranking #1 for a handful of keywords that I've chosen to target specifically, but that the overall authority of the domain has landed many related keywords on lower pages. I know also that this site is ranking for around ~1200 keywords currently, so that's a lot of extra keywords I haven't been targeting specifically. ALL of these extra keywords get considered when viewing your domian as a whole, which will drastically lower the average CTR compared to the CTR of any specific keywords you are trying to rank. For example, here's the average CTR of this particular domain:

As you can see, the average CTR for the domain is much lower than for the specific keywords I am targeting. I'm not entirely sure when knowing the CTR for the entire domain would actually be that useful, but I'm sure it's not useless entirely. However, a much more useful approach for this feature of the Search Console would be to rank your keywords, and then compare the CTR of those keywords to industry averages for those positions. For example, in the first chart my keyword CTR is ~35%. This keyword also falls underneath a featured snippet that isn't my domain. Knowing that the 2014 average CTR for a #1 position was roughly ~31%, makes me confident that my page is performing fairly well and doesn't have any alarming issues that need to be addressed.

Your in position 30-40. Obviously your not gona get much clicks . I'm surprised you got any at all . Get to the first page . Preferably first position and then you'll get 30-50 percent

Here is my pages click-impression-&CTR

In the Red Box is my keyword that got page#1 on google
and others it probably on page 4-8
i think my first page keyword need more impression to conclude my CTR
but i quiet happy for my CTR and have one lesson learned.
Consider per keyword and the position not the all keyword on website to anlalyst the CTR On Google Search Console.

But, what about my keyword+CTR in your angle?

I think there was an issue with your image embed, all I'm seeing is a giant error... Try taking a screen capture of the chart and uploading it to an image sharing site like imgur.com or etc, then embed that url.

About My Website:
my website is online shop (dropship) and the age is 2 months now

I'd say you need more impressions to really say something one way or another.

One question: The keywords #8 & #9 seem to be giving you quite a few impressions. Are those closely related to the niche you are pursuing? If so, I'd recommend sparing a bit of focus on those as well.

Overall, you don't have too much data yet, but of what is available, you seem to be around the normal range. I wouldn't worry about CTR that much honestly, I'd just focus on getting that number one spot!

Yeah, it has quite high search volume and offcourse those keywords is my focus, i've bought the small amount of good quality backlink for thoose keyword in my local Seo Market.
And want to adding more quality backlink later, could you give me your recomended backlink seller on BHW market?

Ofcourse to be number one on google is my priority focus.

No problem, it's still a learning process for me as well!

I don't currently buy any services listed here on the marketplace, so I'm afraid I couldn't recommend anything to you. I use mostly my own PBN, and hand-built web2.0 type properties. I do use one service on Fiverr, which I will send you a PM for, although I only use it for tier 2 and 3 links.
