Organic traffic users increased 184% from last year on this site.

Conversion rate dropped 1.2 percent.

Revenue did go up but only 4% from previous year.

These numbers just seem off to me. Would this be something that falls onto me? Or is that a UX and poor site kind of issue?

I mean impressions and clicks are at an all time high but conversions are at an all time low. Keyword intent and results seem to lead to the correct places. I guess I just want to make sure my bases are covered. How can I tell if the low conversion rate is because of me or something else?

Maybe I am over thinking it. Here is a picture 2021 vs 2022 calculations.

I would integrate a heatmap tool or website map recording just to have a sense on where traffic getting lost and why people are leaving. Making sense of data rather vague assumption would come handy on conversion rate optimization.

Yeah that makes sense. We have Microsoft Clarity added, idk if that falls under my wheelhouse though. Conversion rates for all avenues are way down to what they used to be.

You have more keywords ranking overall,
And many of them in lower positions,

That will get you more clicks for the top ranking ones and more impressions for the others,
Simply resulting in more clicks, more impressions and less CR,

As long as you're getting more clicks/visits, nothing to worry about,
Just keep working on overall domain authority and more keywords will climb to the top of the serps by time

maybe you gained rankings for more informational keywords and / or lost rankings for commercial ones? That would explain to me why you have more traffic but less conversion
That is a quality answer.

Very helpful, thank you.

What you guys are saying makes a lot of sense. I guess I just didn't know how to piece it together. the last thing I want is to get blamed for low conversions. I showed my boss the numbers and he said well we spend a lot more on the site now with upkeep an this and that and whatever. I felt great seeing the site made over a mil more than last year and they paid my half the price of their old SEO agency. Feelings were hurt this morning lmao.

Check the traffic of your pages of the previous year and compare it to the traffic now you are getting on those pages.
