low competition kw vs. high competition kw

i have found 2 keywords that might work. can someone tell me which would be more profitable and is it possible to rank using parasite method?

KW nr. 1:

• has about 500 monthly searches.
• Is very targeted to my niche.
• low competition ( at least i think so)

KW nr. 2:

• has about 10 000 monthly searches.
• is a little bit less targeted, but still quite good.
• has high competition (i think)

so again my question is what do you think would be more profitable in the end? and is it even possible to rank the second keyword using parasite method for a beginner?

First focus on low competition keyword which is more targeted to your niche. Because low competition keyword is easy to rank. Then you can concentrate on your high competition keyword.

okay, ill keep that in mind. and is the second keyword considered very hard or just avarage?
