Low Competition Keywords Strategy?

Hello Guys,

I want to ask you guys about what is your strategy to find low competition keywords to grow small channels?

Hi @ggybro, I hope you're doing well. I'm a noob, but I'll share with you what I know... (I think)
  • If you're using Ahrefs, you can find the worst site in your niche and insert their URL into Ahrefs. You can sign up for a 7-day trial.
Why the worst site? Because you will find keywords they're easily ranking for. Assuming your content is quality, you will slowly outrank low-quality sites.
  • Find ideas by asking questions and seeing Google's recommendation!
Example: KW: Dolphin Ears, type in:

how do dolphin ears a____
how do dolphin ears b____
what do dolphin ears a____
what do dolphin ears b____

You'll find tons of ideas from Google recommendations!
  • Install Keywords Everywhere and changed the settings to Google only for better data (I think, again)
I paid $10 for 100,000 credits and it's been at least year. I still have like 90,000 credits... WORTH IT!
  • 0 volume keywords WORK!!! Try it. No one targets these keywords and once you start ranking, you'll rank for tons of related KWs!
  • Google Keyword Planner helps too!
What I learned during blogging:
  • Don't let the CPC and volume distract you because it will!
  • The best way to beat a competitor is to search up all your targeted keywords and check the first page results. (quality of content, does it answer intent, etc.)
Again... I'm a noobie.... so that's my noobie advice... hehe

That's what I always recommend people to do.
It's the best possible way of market + competitor research.

Why re-invent the wheel when it's already done by someone else.

Ohhh I forgot to mention! You have to win Google traffic with a godly title!
You can create a godly title by using power words. I've been using this list for my article titles and it definitely makes it more interesting!
You can't rank unless Google collects data from your visitors (I think), so the primary focus is to have a title everyone wants to click.
