Low anchor diversity question

I have recently moved my site from html to wordpress and I have lots of backlinks to one page with anchor texts that have 37% main keyword rate. That page was a post in my website so it is structured something like this - www.mydomain/post.html but because wordpress can't have .html at the end so I am forced to make redirect to index page because I think that would be best to do so. If I make 301 redirect of that page to my index page will I receive any kind of penalty for low anchor diversity or something like that ? If yes, then I have another question - If I increase backlinks to my index page that have different anchors will I be able to fix this problem ?

Hard to say for sure, but 37% is pretty high for exact match keyword. I would diversify your anchors first, then use 301.

What if I just remove the redirect ? Can I receive a penalty if there are just lots of backlinks to non-existing page of my website ?

better make some links with Raw URL, kw synonyms, anchors with numbers, symbols, Generics ..

You mean, make some links to that post or my index page ? I am kinda confused here.

And what if I just leave it there without pointing to any of my pages ?

37% is crazy high, you would probably get penalize for it. First diversify your anchor text you can do this yourself or use any good service here on BHW (I have used seopez before and link their service -not an affiliate or associate). With their service buy the manual link package (20+) and use your own articles (I used articlerat -again not affiliate or associate).

For your anchor text diversification use brand, url, longtails, and random do not use your hard anchor text. Once you have done that then you can check your rankings and if it looks good you can consider a redirect. Why redirect right away if you might get penalize for over optimization.

Just my 2 cents.

Maybe I am penalized ? I hardly ranked any article on that site before. Is it possible to remove penalty when you diversify anchors ? Is it possible to see if I am penalized ?

you can check too see if you are penalized with google webmaster account. or you can check your rankings and see if you are still there (usually if you are pushed back a couple pages, or nowhere to be found then it means you are penalize).

I use this tool to check sometimes and its not 100% accurate but it does some good guess work:

I can't know if my traffic dropped dramatically because I never had it. And I never had any rankings to know if I was pushed back or not. This is not the first I made a mistake like this on website, actually , on this website, this is the 2nd time I do shit like this. First time it was about 50% of main kw and I was surprised why none of my articles were ranking for few months... After a year break I did the same thing and after sending backlinks, I again, see that there are no rankings. After about few days I read on bhw that you need to diversify anchors as much as possible and I was like WTF. I know that in the eyes of google this domain does not look decent and I think I'll just start a new website because this one is just too confusing and risky.
