Hopefully someone with more experience can also chime in, but I have had some success promoting certain ClickBank products. You are right that there is a LOT of junk there, but there are some products mixed in with the junk that actually do pretty good for me. I have never had any problems getting paid by them (so far) so don't have any complaints in that area.

When I first started promoting CB products, I honestly just tried to find the products that I thought looked good (not really knowing what to look for other than a decent sales page). After quite a few failed attempts I decided to take another approach to choosing what to promote.

I start with keyword research and find some good keywords that people are searching for and with a decent CPC using Google Keyword Tool. Then I do a search on Google for the keyword and make sure that there are a decent amount of ads showing up for that search term. If other companies are willing to pay a decent amount of money to have their ads shown in the search results then there must be some demand for it and money to be made from it. Once I have found a few good keywords I will go to the marketplace on ClickBank and search for those keywords. I will then sort the results by gravity and find a decent product that someone searching for that keyword might be interested in. I have had significantly better results going this route and spending a little more time researching to come up with a game plan to target a specific group of people and then find a product to offer them instead of just throwing a lot of stuff out there randomly and hoping someone bites.

Hope this helps you to avoid the stupid mistake I made of just randomly picking products that I thought looked good without doing any research at all on what I was promoting or deciding how I would promote it.

cbengine.com - this is a site that you can really dig deep into what CB vendors have to offer, what products are starting to pick up in sales and which ones are starting to slow down. Hope this helps!

Thanks Gammbyt that is a great way to do it.

maybe i did misunderstand the google keyword tool but it all makes sense now that the competition indicator is if it is cheap or expensive to have adwords

then i can see if it is expensive in the google keyword tool then there is a market for it but is there any program that can scan the internet and tell me if the SEO competition is hard or easy when i put in a search term?

wow after 5 days in this world im hooked at this and this is alot more fun than walk with newspapers as my classmates are doing :)

Sorry for my spelling english is not my main language.

JasonG thanks for the link i did bookmark it.
