I just ran a couple of facebook and twitter blasts for a CPA offer and got around 400 clicks but zero conversions. I used tinyurl to cloak the url and the offer was just a simple freebee form (social marketing was allowed for this specific offer). Is that conversion rate extremely low and unusual?

Yeah, its pretty low but of course how targeted your friends and followers are to your niche is an important factor. It also never hurts to rotate the same offer with a few networks to take any possible shaving/scrubbing issues out of the equation if you aren't already doing so.

Lol what did you expect exactly? 400 clicks? Come on dude conversions are like... 500 every 10,000 clicks. you just need offers with good payouts and it makes it worth it in the end.

Also note Twitter (not sure about fb) gets hell of a lot of bots hiting your site/offers

Yea I know, which means I should have had at least a few clicks, especially if the epc is to be believed... But anyway, I guess the bots could be partly to blame.

I actually thought it was quite targeted. The twitter account was 38,000 Ellen fans and I was tweeting about a weight loss product ;)
