Lost my Google place

Hi, after AMR blast my site moved from place 4 to 550. Site is 8 months old. Any help?

Had the same thing happen to one of my sites. Was at #6 now at 700+. Not sure what caused the drop.

A couple things I did before the drop:

1) Bought 10 high PR backlinks (PR3-6)
2) AMR blast
3) Added some affiliate links to my homepage without cloaking them


Could be something I did or just a Google update.

I dropped but not like you guys. I'm working on a new strategy, putting everything on a schedule and doing more besides amr, scrapebox. Get back to the drawing board and come back and claim that top spot.

You mean to say I have do the AMR blast on schedule basis again to get the lost spot? Please explain your strategy.

Not a big loss but I've gone 2 pages far.. I haven't done anything over the past 10 days but did some X rummer blast last month.

I could be that if you have links from blog comments and profile links blah blah blah
they have dropped in quality in the eyes of Google - so the days of SB and Xrum could
be numbered.

What was your site about?

First what is your site about? secondly how good is your off page optimization techniques? How do you create your backlinks?

After 1 month time today my site listed back to 1st Page.... Thanks guys

Did you change anything or just leave it?

my website is also stuck in +50 position, I think its google dance, keep link building and u'll come stronger

Yes, I added two pages and built back links for that newly added page

No, Still in the 4th place.

.Net domain is in the first place having only 10 back links. Mine is .info domain, have to workout a new link building strategy to gain SERP. This week will try to build some link wheels and update the status.

Link velocity is a big deal. If you're in a car, you can go 100 miles per hour no problem.

If you go from 0 to 100 in 1 second, you're dead.

If you go from 100 to 0 in 1 second, you're dead.

If you're going to ramp up a big link campaign, you have to ease into it. Give Google all the signs it needs to make sure your link campaign is being built properly.

If you haven't gotten any backlinks at all for 8 months, AND you haven't updated content in 8 months ... then add some new content and then start a blast of backlinks. Every huge backlink campaign should be associated with a site update of content.

This makes it look natural to Google. Google thinks, "Why is this website all the sudden getting new backlinks? Oh, it just updated its content. Well that content must be pretty fantastic."

You need to maintain your velocity. Its best to ease into big backlinks.

You should ...

1) Introduce 1 page of new content.
2) Backlink to your website with 10% of the backlinks of the full blast you want to work up to.
3) One week later, introduce 3 pages of new content.
4) Backlink to your website (new pages) with 40% of the backlinks of the full blast you want to work up to.
5) One week later, add 3 pages of content.
6) Backlink to your website (new pages) with 80% of the backlinks you want to work up to.
7) Approximately one month after your website has received its new content, blast links to every page at the full strength you want to continually link to your website.
8) Keep on going and never stop -- get consistent backlinks at the same volume, from a variety of sources (web 2.0s, AMR, quality blog comments -- and if you feel brave enough you could try scrapebox and xrumer, but do those consistently with a drip feed as well.

That's just one way to provide what would be considered a more natural linkbuilding type of campaign. It gives Google reason to believe that people would want to link to you (the new content) and it gives Google evidence that the linking is natural (backlinks are consistent and do not fluctuate).

I also noticed you mention that you only got an AMR update. You should get backlinks from a variety of places -- just one source doesn't work too well. Article directories, AMR, linkwheels, web2.0s, quality blog comments, you should make the sources of your links come from a wide variety of sources.

Sorry for the big guide, didn't see that you mentioned how quickly you added your backlinks, whether you got many different sources of backlinks, whether you continued your backlink campain and just stopped or if it was consistent, so I thought I'd just lay out a general guide and you can decide for yourself whether it may be of help.

By the way, I've had badly penalized websites before. But I've never had penalized sites using the above linking patterns. And I do xrumer and scrapebox blasts directly to my money site (with slight google dancing, but overall increases in traffic).

It's the most common donominator in Panda.I wouldn't be suprised if you hit xxxxx amount of links G starts looking for ob affiliate links.
I have never heard of site with no affiliate links of any sort suffer major drops.
It's the easiest way for G to control what gets ranked because all affiliate sites have a purpose to sell,nothing more.
A real business which sells from the site e.g paypal button or merchant link is way less likely to get it because they have the product they are selling.

It's just a hunch but you just need to look around bhw to see the 100's of posts with the same story,yet few contain any useful information like what sort of obl's they have so no one learns anything.

G can't really penalise incoming links because real issues like blast the competition or just blasting for laughs at legit sites would cause chaos so the easiest solution is obl's.
I assume you need to reach a certain trigger,could be velocity,total bl's then the bot zooms in on your site looking for ob affiliate links.After all affiliate sites are only landing pages for the selling site.

Anyway just throwing an opinion in the mix.

Phpbuilt has put some good ideas in the mix,if you use scrapebox etc don't go trying to get every link indexed,it's far more valueable if it is found rather than being rammed down G's throat to look at it.It also creates a natural backlink pattern.It can take weks for the links to get indexed,if you've done say a 10k blast you can site back for 6 weeks,while those links get discovered.
Everyone has their own methods and idea,and they all work for different types of sites.
There is alot of inpatience in this game and it only helps those with patience.

If you do a 10k blast to decent AA list you will see links being found everyday,maybe 10-20,that's ideal it's natural.When all your links are pinged on big blasts it's possible to just have too many at once.
