lost my anchor text keyword ranking. Please help!

Hi guys quick qns, i have been ranking for this particular keyword by building links via anchor text. So far it has been going well but suddenly ahrefs shown me from ranking XX to LOST.

I am just curious could it be the bad links my link builder provider provided me or is it a random google update.

Please help and advice as this keyword is quite impt

You didn't mention the anchor text ratio for that important keyword and other keywords.

It could be a penalty for over optimization.

From now on, Do just SEO and not SEOO ie., Search Engine Over Optimization.

How'd you get out the Penalty?

By diluting the anchor text percentage. You'd need to build more links to your site with generic anchor texts.

Do we do all of those steps in that particular order? Or does the order not matter? Also how much of each steps do we do?
 
I understand some updates are rolling out from last few weeks, so it might be that effect. On the other side, Its quite common for it to drop down and come back again after few days.

A farming account? I have never lived in a farm before, always been living in small cities. Weird that you would ask that.
Anyhow, I was expecting a more detailed and through answer from you.

You've said to do more SEOO but not SEO, with the keyword being Over, as in too much. So... how do we move the needle in our SEO rankings with step-by-step or at least some bullet points tips for us the noobies who wish to cater advice from knowledgeable person such as yourself. Here's a fun fact, I like to learn from the best and have a very open growth mindset to take in all of the BULLET POINTS tips from the pros.

So could you write a bullet point list please, thanks and I appreciate the effort.

I'm kinda confused now, or I'm out of the loop. What does coffee have to do with using the "search button"? I kinda was expecting like a more through out list since I checked the blue guy's profile and he had heaps of replies on his wall asking for some help. I mean his username is spoonfeeder so I thought he liked to help out people. But why are you sending me to a coffee article, like is this a sample of how to not overdue SEO like the blue guy was saying.

mate, you did not ask for help, you demand answer - those are 2 different things.

anyhow, that does not concerns me. learn to read, not everything should be "spoonfeed" to all newbies.

Hi i understand that drop rankings is normal. But ranking lost is another thing

NO! I did not demand an answer, I simply asked 2 questions and was answered with another off-topic question by the blue guy. Do you know how annoying that is, to get your questions answered by an off-topic question?

I truly was expecting the flow of this thread to go like a typical quora thread. "Hey Percipience, thanks for the A2A. In my honest opinion, I think you should do the following things in this particular order ***LIST WITH BULLET POINTS OUTLINING GENERAL THINGS TO DO***" . THAT'S IT! A simply list would have sufficed , and we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Perhaps, my use of words was met by dismay from that blue guy. Anyhow, I think I will just go do my own research instead of getting into this back and forth tag game that is consuming my precious time and leading me now where.
 
Yeah OP stop being lazy. You got quality help but you're asking a step-by-step guide on how to do your work??? I provide that kind of help at $150 per hour.

Lol are you sure im lazy? Im just asking for pointers and for people who have experienced it. If you have nothing productive to share i would suggest that you keep quiet instead of making redunctant comments

That's what I was thinking, is like people spent more time scolding you and try to make you feel like you are stupid instead of helping. Funny how these folks be calling 1 simple sentence with 13 words "high quality help".

Haha no worries. Irrelevant answers dont matter to me, doesnt affect me one bit. Also is so easy to just copy a link and send. Anyone can do that, i am not blind.

I have been successfully ranking my keywords is just i have hit a plateau thats why i have to seek advice from people who have more experience and successful internet marketers

Check with your backlinks and make sure they are from good quality ones.
