Hey Everyone!

I stumbled across BHW a few years back while trying to figure out how to monetize a short-lived blog. A lot has changed from then to now? single mom that had to move back in with my mom? can't even afford to help with rent/bills with my dead end job salary. smh

Enough is Enough!

I'm here out of necessity. I'm usually here reading pages after pages of info. Unfortunately, I'm still lost in the sauce when it comes to figuring out how to even begin my journey. I just wish that I had more time to dedicate towards this. (It took me 20 minutes just to type this, thanks to my 1 year old.)

Anyway, I'm glad to be here. I want to thank everyone in advance for your tips and support. One day I aspire to be one to contribute, as well.

Thanks fellas! (especially for that link)
Of course tying "Mommy Blogging" with Amazon was the first thing that crossed my mind. I can't wait to read what Pinterest has to offer.

Welcome buddy!!

Take another 20 mins to search this forum to fund how to start :P

Choose a niche where you feel to have something to give. Investigate on which is a good target audience, define 50 problems they have and search if there are affiliate products that answer to this problems.
Setup a blog, focus on writing 2 post per weeks and focus on resolve the problems of your audience.

Then go out and spread the world with your blog. Forums (not spam) answer question, help people, twitter, engage conversation, follow people in your niche, and make your blog grow. In 6 month of hard an steady work you should have a steady income.

Be consistent.

My advice, stick to one method and one traffic source. Keep at it until you're profitable. If you continue to jump from method to method, you won't get anywhere. You gotta be presistent and KNOW that you will fail during first few months. Learn from those failures and continue failing. The more you fail, the faster you'll reach success.

Welcome to BHW. You seem to have some writing talent, by what I can see from your first post. I'd recommend selling articles, rather than blogging, if you're able to get yourself some regular free time.

The reason I say this, is because blogging takes a lot of work, and if you're relying on Adsense, might all come crashing down one day for no reason. At least if you're selling quality content to people, you don't need to worry about everything just falling apart unexpectedly for no reason one day. It's a more consistent and reliable source of income.

Thanks for your suggestions. Pinterest looks pretty promising to me. I think I'm going to give it a go after reading up some more on setting up an amazon affiliate site the right way. As for blogging, I have to be realistic when it comes to my free time. Plus, I'll be enrolling in school in January. So between studying and writing for classes, I won't have much mental juice and time to dedicate towards pushing out articles/blog posts.

Seriously, the best advice I can give is to just start implementing things.. Reading is important, but you need to learn from doing in this business.. Start from a good place with knowledge that you've gained here, but start right now! I mean it.. make a website/blog/pinterest account or whatever you're planning as soon as you finish reading this email!

Glad to have you here as well mate! You have the right mindset for sure. First step in the right direction :)

Welcome to BHW,

Cheers
