Lost Finale Made Me Cry

Every one died after few years thn they gather to the church. Island doesn't need an guardian it could take care itself.
That was a great show anyway, I didn't missed any episode :lever:

And who is guarding the Island? Don't know. Hurley probably found a replacement or perhaps it did not need guarding any more.

I haven't watched it yet... I am DWLDN it right now.... .the only thing that will suck ..at least from my POV is that all the shows I am following are on hold or over DAMMIT! I need some show recommendations.....

Depends on what you have set to record but I'm a huge fan of
Mad Men
Breaking Bad
Entourage (goofy and stupid but wtf, it's fun)

Sounds like the ending to Lost left a lot of people in that Sopranos mode: hated it or loved it.

I think that was their plane flying off. It didnt seem to be crashing in my opinion.

That was the plane flying away from the island.I loved this show..too bad was the last episode..:(
 
No the plane did get off. Kate says to Jack that she missed him. Because he was dead for so long before she died. She would have got off the island and then lived out the rest of her life.

Hurley and Ben looked after the Island for quite some time afterwards. Hence why Ben and Hurley had that little convo outside about being number 1 and 2. One would assume that they then passed that job on.

Michael wasn't in purgatory because he is still stuck on the Island. As the whispers pointed out. I don't think that will change just because the rest of them died.

There is still a tonne of questions I have :

- Where did the smoke monster come from? How did he get created. From what we saw, you can survive down that hole no problem. Jack and Desmond both survived, it makes me wonder why Desmond was so needed. Jack died because he had a massive bullet wound, and a split open head, not because of any electromagnetic interferance.

- Flocke/MIB would have never been able to find the light source without Jack. He has been searching for it for eternity. I think if Jack had refused to take Flocke there, he wouldn't have been able to find it. I have no idea why Jack led him there.

- The ending was lame as crap. I couldn't care less if they went straight to heaven, or any inbetween place. It makes no sense. Why can't they just be in heaven? Why do they have to be in a middle place? What bearing does it give the story at all?
 
i never watched a single episode of lost, the story looked to convoluted to follow. i hope most people have enjoyed the finale. there is something about series finales thats very touching
.
 
So the message that writers wanted to give with this ending is just one:

MOVE ON.

While watching the last frames, I was trying to think how many hours of my life I spent watching Lost and wondering:

was that worth it or should have I did something else instead of gluing my eyes to a screen?

If you still have unanswered questions you should look inside of yourself rather than blame the series for not explaining everything in detail for you.

Sorry my friend you are wrong. I understand what you are saying. But that is what the show is supposed to do leading up to the finale. Make people talk and form their own opinions on the show. Then when it ends its supposed to put closure on the show and explain what the hell has been going on for six seasons.

The show only half closed. The finale was great in a sense of understanding and gaining closure for the characters. I really like the way they did it. But leaving so much in the air was a cop out. How could they possibly not answer what the island was? That was the whole point of the show. How could they develop a show around a mysterious island that was the main topic of discussion between the characters on the show and the fans, then not tell you what it was. Sure you can speculate and guess and try to find inner answers, but the fact remains that we will not find out what it really was.

It's ok to leave a lot of things untapped and unanswered. But how dare they not explain the island. Time travel, changing locations, bright light at the center that has to be corked? For what? What happens if the cork isn't plugged back in? The island sinks? The world is destroyed? We will never know. And we will never know what the island truly was.

The finale was only half way closed. The only reason people get on boards and say... "Its up to you to interpret, have an imagination and figure it out yourself" Is because the writers said that. So everyone has to follow what the writers say. BULL SHIT. Give us some closure and some explanations. All that figure it out yourself bull shit is a cop out. Thanks for only giving us a tenth of what we really needed to know as fans. Anyone that says they were not disappointed with the finale don't have a mind of their own. They listened to the writers and are lying about not wondering what the hell the island was.

To all the Lost people. I F-ing love and hate all of you. I want to punch and kiss you... So bitter sweet.

OMFG ... I cried like a lil baby.... both because I liked the ending, because the cursed number sequence went unexplained and because I felt like I lost tons of hours watching this tantalizing show.... dammit to hell its been a while since I've cried.....OK JB move the fuck on ...

I thought that it was always about the people not the Island. Story was how they all were "lost/isolated" . Each one of them had some sort of inner struggles or flaws that caused them to live their life alone and in a broken state.

When they crashed , they began to form relationships, care, love . And suddenly they were not alone. They were not lost.

I loved when Jack first spoke as the "leader" and said this: If we can not live together, we are going to die alone. And it ended , with them "dying" together :)

P.S at the same time I might be having a Stockholm Syndrome :P

The polar bear has something to do with the donkey wheel below the Orchid I think.

At the very least, Dharma kept them for some reason. Sawyer + Kate got locked up in those cages by the Others, which were used to hold the Polar Beers at one point.

Charlotte also found a Polar bear in the Desert with a Dharma Collar. I can't remember 100%, but the desert was the same desert in Tunisia that Ben ended up after turning the Donkey Wheel.

I think likely the Dharma folk used the Polar beers to turn the Donkey wheel so that they could turn the Wheel, and end up in the Desert instead of a human being.

When ben turns the wheel, He says to Locke that he will move the Island, And never be able to come back. By him saying he can never come back, I think he means that he will end up in the Desert and Die. Not that he will never be able to find the Island again.
 
I like the last episode but like so many great series, the story should have ended differently.
Reminds me of ST:Voyager, the writers got lazy and THEY wanted to move on.
