So i have a list of blogs for seo and i was with a shitty hosting company and found out that all the sites were not getting crawled. When i switched Hosting to another Hosting Co. all the content got deleted, which sucks ANy help? Is there any way to get that back? they were all wp sites.

All the content got deleted from the database or from one of the search engines (as in de-indexed)?

Did you have any backups? If not, I would ask your old host if they made any backups of your site (specifically your database).

Most hosts run backups without people knowing. I say most because I don't know if yours did or not. But it's worth a shot to check with them.

If you can get an old backup, it would be easy for you to restore the lost content.

Does this normally happen if you switch hosting?

It depends. I always recommend doing this when switching hosts:

1. Make backups of all of your site files and databases from the old host.
2. Move/restore your database at the new host.
3. Move all of your files over to the new host.

That's just a general rule of mine.

My question is this: What did you do when you switched your host? Also, did you make a backup of your old database?
This will help in solving the problem.

What exact steps did you take when you moved your sites?

Is your old hosting accounts still active or have you already canceled them?

I hate site moving really, I try to do it umm NEVER, but before you just MUST backup everything, I usually do an ftp download to one of my own machines as well as an export of the DB. There are tools for Wordpress if you use that, the price of 30 to 60 bucks is well worth it in the long run trust me.
