I've been looking into getting some already running autoblogs for some extra income on the side. Possibly build on the sites or buy more as time goes on. I'm more of an investor with some knowledge of websites, but since I work full time I feel auto blogs are probably my best bet. Any suggestions or helpful tips before I venture into this market? Anyone recommend a trustworthy seller of blogs? Any info would be appreciated...thanks

Autoblogs are different than other. Its easy to make one , but hard to rank one and even hard to make income from scrape content.
Now a days the Big G is also keeping heavy eye , so better spinners needed to save the scrape content.
Go for Autoblogs with video content than articles , keeps you a bit safe at the point of getting hammer from G and the scrape content issue to low a bit.
Getting down line to rank and traffic statistics , take a deep look at them , organic traffics are better , as now a days a lot of guys in flippa or other just to show impractical showcase of traffic , they buy scrap traffic and direct it to their website.
Revenue making from autoblogs are tough so you need to have good knowledge about monetizing methods.
Being myself an autoblogger for a long time , if you want i can show you some sites of mine up for sale. But better to go for professionals than to push up and ran after a company , Or even you can find good deals here in BHW in buy/sell section.
Understand and then apply your mind to get into autoblogs.

no.... i believe that autoblogs are still here... envolved and for little and smart ones...
This blog tsekouratoi gr , is from my country, Greece. THEY DONT HAVE, NOT EVEN ONE POST from them... they only copy and copy and copy and most of the times without sourse of the original post.
They making MORE than 7.000 euros every month with google adsense and affiliate and they dont even use a custom domain name... they have a 400.000+++ members facebook page. For America a 400.000 members page is normal, for Greece (11.000.000 people) is one of the top 10.
You can see by your self, check their domain name in alexa and see the traffic for gr.
I believe that NEW ERA'S envolved autoblogs, have to do with SOCIAL NETWORKS, and not with search engines and seo...

I'm also planning to start one, a mini tube site. The only thing is that I have no idea how to monetize it. Let's wait for some more insights about this.
If you're going to create one or more autoblogs, you need to know about Fat Pings. I haven't done autoblogs in a while, but from what I can tell the name of the game is still getting YOUR post indexed first. So that means you need to constantly scrape and post, and along with that get your URLs crawled before the original post.
Automation will stay around forever.
There are good informational courses about blog building over at theautoblogblueprint.com and profit.fm. The former is less expensive than the latter and the latter focuses more on micro niche sites rather than autoblogs.
My best advice would be is that.
1. You don't have to do anything illegal to have a successful autoblog. Eg. Partial content and crediting the source can still work well.
2. With autoblogging, sometimes quantity is better than quality. But with micro-niche sites quality and seo is better than quantity of posts.
3. Do your keyword reasearch! Try to get exact match domains. If exact match isn't available or legal go for partial match.
4. Pay attention to onpage seo while structuring your post templates, create a variable content template so the each post on the site does not show the same format.
I've also found success by building a micro niche site with original content in html, and then building an autoblog to suppliment. it.
For the most part I'm a software developer and not a site builder so don't take my advice supplementally. My customer's are the experts! I'm just the servant with tall ears.
