Looking to Learn the Proxy Business – Is It Worth It?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been browsing the forum for a while and I keep noticing a lot of people running proxy services and selling different types of proxies (datacenter, residential, mobile, etc.). It’s got me curious – I’m wondering how to actually get started and learn the ins and outs of the proxy business.

A few questions I’ve got:

• What’s the best way to learn the technical side of proxies ?
• Would starting as a reseller be a good entry point before trying to build my own network?
• How much can you realistically make from this business if you’re just starting out?
• Are there specific niches in the proxy market that are less competitive but still profitable?

I understand that margins can be thin if you’re just reselling, but I’m more interested in learning how the business works first before investing heavily in hardware, SIM cards, servers, etc.

If anyone here has experience in scaling from reseller to running your own proxy infrastructure, I’d appreciate hearing about:

• The biggest technical challenges you faced
• Mistakes to avoid when starting out
• Tools or resources that helped you learn faster
