I've recently become extremely interested in Amazon stores and I want to start a big project in the coming months. I'll rep+ those credible people who answer below questions.

I'm planning to open an amazon review site and an amazon store and test which brings in more profits but if someone can tell me which works better then it'll save me so much time and money.

Also regarding SEO for "Amazon stores", do you target the main domain for every keyword or do specific keywords go to different categories on your store? this questions has been bugging me for awhile.

Also are there any decent amazon ebooks you guys recommend? most i've found seem to be short term "methods" i need something for long term business.

I'll rep+ credible people who answer those questions thanks.

I have both types

Stores sell $100 - $300 a month depending how good they are
Review sites sell $5 - $200

Stores cost more to set up/Seo and operate.

I have mostly review sites but now moving more into stores as better profit. A lot depends on your niche and your knowledge because I'm sure some people are more successful with review sites .. But mine are all autoblogs so not quite as good quality wise.

Anyway as I said above depends on what you know / how much money you got to invest and how well you follow through on the marketing.

Good luck.

Rep+ Thanks for letting me know, I assume stores earn more in the long run anyway. I'm budgeting for about $10,000 and I want to completely outsource the SEO but I just want to know regarding the keywords. Do we target the main domain for all keywords or what? I might have to outsource the keyword research also...

There are some people who like to target more micro niches to get high ranking for easier keywords first. For example something like kids alarm clocks or something similar... With an EMD it will be easier to rank and start getting traffic first. You can then broaden the keywords to alarm clocks or wider.

with a 10k project I'd prefer to target a more larger niche and hopefully build into an authority over time. I want to let the SEO campaign run for 6 months to 1 year to fully take advantage of such a large niche.

In fact if people are interested I might post a journey of the entire process, what say?

I'd be interested in your journal. I am planning to start a small one within a week. As for a large scale shop, many have just used a broad keyword and then add -shop or something similar to the end.
