I thought of starting a blog in order to make some $'s.
Could anyone suggest the best niche to start with, having medium competition and also medium prospect..??
I am thinking of health. How's that??? Please suggest a niche as of mentioned above. As i have not started yet i would definitely look into your suggestions.

You can start with mylikes or adsense first. It's the easiest way to make money for newbies. Or you can sell some seo services on fiverr. Then if you already have some knowledges and experience on internet marketing, you can try CPA, Clickbank or PPD. Go to making money section in this forum, a lot of good informtion there.
