Looking into Logo Designing, Any tips would be appreciated.

Hey guys so ive joined this forum just the other day and ive been thinking about online business ideas. I am looking to start logo designing and it is something i can find myself enjoying. I have some previous experience but would like to turn the idea to a business edge. My thought is to start an instagram page and build it up, do shoutouts/ offer some businesses free logos for shoutouts (to boost and upstart the page) then once it has gained some traction I can start offering deals and bundles. I am open to all opinions and im curious if you guys think starting somewhere else would be better. Just looking to use as much free resources as possible. Thank you guys

I'm against starting on freelance websites from a scratch. No one will even notice a new designer in a bottomless sea of competition in online logo design unless you'll invest in reviews and make a decent portfolio. And never listen to all those Fiverr advices unless you want to be a slave for the first half of the year and get ripped off by its commission. Upwork is very hard to start with, and freelancer.com has a bullshit amount of scams and competition. However, there are contests on a freelancer where you can train yourself or make a beginner's portfolio with a chance of winning.

Instagram, Twitter, and cold calls are the best things to start with. Period.
 
ok i knew i guy who used to design logos and he was successful the places he used to post his work is : Fiverr, twitter, Instagram, reddit and make a small ad for a mid influencer (with 10-15K followers). If you started to do this job im actually interested for a gaming logo for my friend his been looking to designers and not liking some of their work.

I can totally see that. I checked out the websites but i feel like i might to start on instagram and twitter and get my idea going first then expand from there. Thanks for sharing

Thats awesome!! Appreciate the advice. im a bit rusty so im just getting back into the works again but forsure once i build my portfolio with some designs im gonna try to start sharing it around. Thank u
 
great idea with the instagram account, people will definitely will be interested to give you a shoutout for a logo and etc, don't forget to use everything from it then, if instagram feed is your portfolio, add some highlights also, when posting logo do a carousel post, with different backgrounds or even some mockups, time lapse of creating logos are pretty interesting to watch and etc, wish you good luck!
