We have an existing site and just need a few changes. You do not need to be able to do all of these, but let me know what you're area of expertise is and we'll go from there.
1. New landing page. Our landing page converts at a high volume so the actual placement/etc doesn't need to be adjusted, but we are considering revamping it to make it look more sleek. It's very basic right now.
2. Redesign of homepage. Currently, our company sells one product and the homepage reflects this. We are transitioning more into becoming a brand and are ready to push out a second product, so we would like to basically keep the same colors and general design we have But we want to change the functionality of the home page from a funnel for that product's sales into something that does all of the following: (a) presents and funnels appropriate traffic toward each of the company's offerings -- both of the products and the blog -- in a compelling way; (b) seeks to semi-aggressively convert traffic into e-mail/forum signups directly from the homepage; and (c) is the company's main informational hub. It would, for the most part, just be a sign-up seeking landing page. The developer could use our existing layout so we're not talking about reinventing the wheel. Most of the work is already done.
3) Forums -- I want to roll out discussion forums as a community-building measure and as a motivation to get people to e-mail subscribe. We'll need someone to build out the forums and link them up with the e-mail signup and the main home page.
4) Additional supporting pages and functions -- We don't need too many and we already have the layout for supporting pages from the original site design. It would just be useful to have someone to help us build the appropriate functionality into those pages (like adding an e-mail popup window to the blog, using a menu-driven page to drive traffic to the product pages immediately after e-mail signups, etc.). If we could find the right person who could respond to specific requests like that quickly and competently, it could be really valuable. Right now we're just costed out of small changes like that because our developer, while great, is costly.
