Looking for ways to drive outside traffic to Ebay.

I've been selling on Ebay for about a year and a half with fairly consistent sales from month to month. I'm now looking for ways to boost my sales a bit more and I think advertising outside of Ebay is likely the way to go. The problem is that I'm not too sure about the science of how to do that. I have a Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter account I setup and I'm also considering creating a Instagram account and maybe putting together a blog or website. But I'm stuck at trying to figure out how to get people to those accounts. Any suggestions on that area?

Also is it legal to link to articles on other sites? For example if I wanted to add content to my account by maybe including articles related to my product, is it legal for me to link to articles from other sources?
