The most important thing is that you offer usefull and unique content to your users and that you optimize your content for your target keywords. When you did this some good backlinks will also help you to get better rankings but you need backlinks from trusted pages and no spam backlinks .

DA is just a MOZ metric it has nothing to do with SEO. If you want to earn quality traffic start sharing problem solving blogs, help people what they are looking for. Use Reddit, Quora, Forums, Infographics, Start sharing good blogs that give value to user queries. Use social media as much as possible.
