I know, I know... This entire forum is FULL of information about SEO and I should be shot in the skull at point blank range with a 20-gunge scatter-shot, right? Well... F*ck you too. 
I can't stand using all of this software that everyone is using now, I just don't get a sense of accomplishment from it. I've already got everything that I need together to get my website on the roll. I was actually using WordPress for quite some time and I got around 300 post(s) that I'm ready to just throw away. Well... I wasn't really ready to throw them away, but when you make the mistake of not making backups and you fail to make a payment on your hosting... you tend to lose everything. Oops.
It's alright though, because I wasn't making anything from the website anyway. I was planning on turning it into something that I was to make money from in the future, but I guess I'll start over. I was wanting to anyway, so it doesn't bother me; However I think I want to do things a little differently this time.
My niche is actually education, for any of you that are curious. I know some people are going to ask.
What I'm wanting to do is build my website completely from the ground up, that way I can say.. "You see that? That's mine. I made that." .. without having to explain that I used WordPress, because I was lazy when I put my website onto my web-development and programming portfolios. I know how to do simple things like Keyword targeting, but there's got to be secrets that I don't know about that will help with ranking. My domain is an exact match for my keyword and It's almost a year old now. I'm hoping to at-least pull $10-20 a day from this. I will not be able to sell products from this website...
I was getting around 50-60 unique a day on my old website, and this was without any advertising. Most of my traffic will come from my YouTube videos which have just started taking off. I'm averaging 10,000 views a month and I'm at 1,000 subscribers. This number is constantly increasing.
