Most of my client first choice is Gmail SMTP .

Gmail has a limit of 250 emails per day, doesn't it? It's not an option for mass mailings; you'll need to use multiple email addresses.

Is there any service which basically will send cold-email campaigns to inbox? For grey-hat links ;-)

I have used SendCrux and Instantly, but I'm not sure how good they are.

You can find them from SMTP providers or hosting services. Just make sure they offer dedicated IPs and good reputation, otherwise deliverability can be bad.
