I have been looking for simple sms sender (ideally desktop), not looking to mass spam just 1 or 2 SMS messages, I have came across a few but they all seem to ask the recipient to send a text to receive the message.

you can send via skype or google voice if its not in bulk

No - looking at SmsCaster but my mobile not compatible.

SMS is extremely profitable but with the can-spam act you could be looking at a hefty fine should big brother catch you.
