I understand where you guys are coming from, and YES, there are many professionals from Indian, Philippines and many other countries who can do great work, but it is ALSO a truthful fact that MORE people from India and Philippines provide lower quality outsourced work, when compared to products and services in general made in the United States of America or provided by American Citizens. Is the price higher? YES. But I don't think people should act like the quality is in general the same.

Are there Americans who provide VERY BAD quality services? YES! But I am sure that you can also agree, that when you visit websites like Elance, Odesk, Freelancer, the majority of outsourcers are from Bangladesh, India, and Philippines, and MANY of them provide very low quality work. So you have to understand why the OP has this impression about workers from these countries.

There is stereotyping/racism, and then there is fact. The fact is, if the OP doesn't have some discrimination in place, he will receive hundreds of PMs, and only a VERY small minority of them will actually be qualified for the job. Then you add in the language barrier, the time zone differences, culture differences, and it can become a very bad experience very quickly.

It takes a lot of extra patience and effort when working with someone from a different country. If I go to India, I will not be offended at all if someone hires an Indian instead of me. They may have a bad impression of someone who is from my country, and not be willing to take the risk. That is understandable.

So yes, there are GREAT employees from India and other countries, but unfortunately, in our outsourcing business, we also know FOR FACT, that many of the outsourcers from India and the Philippines do provide low quality work, and still usually expect payment for their time, although they are usually very fair and do not ask for HIGH payment if they didn't do the job perfect.

I can go on all day, but people need to admit that the legal matters, culture/language similarities, and communication will be much better if this person works with a person from the same country, or a country with similar standards and regulations and culture/language. Separate racism and business. I don't think the thread starter was trying to say anything bad about Indians in general as people.

You can't expect to get white hat seo guys on a black hat forum. Use common sense, just search on google "seo services" , maybe they can help you. Even what they do is not 100% white hat, even they do grey/black hat stuff, i have tested many of them.

Agreed on this. Try to find all of the "what is white hat" threads on BlackHatWorld. Most people on this forum believe that "white hat" is just doing "black hat" manually without the use of tools, or using original content on web 2.0s etc. If you press most guys on the subject, they will call it "mostly white hat, with some grey hat"... that means black hat.

There's obviously a big difference between a native English speaker and anyone in the world who speaks (especially writes) English as a second language.

Go on LinkedIn and find SEO people that work at mid to large size agencies. Many of them will do this type of work after hours and on weekends. Quality is good and similar to what the big agency clients get. You may have to bump your budget to $2,000 a month to get someone who meets the standards I believe you are looking for. It also depends if you have a good base to start with. If you are already ranking bottom of page 1 or page 2, it's easier (aka less money) to move you to premium positions.

For that budget almost everyone is going to be using spun content. If you want to future proof your SEO and get quality work, you will need all unique, non-spun content. I would consider adding a monthly content budget in addition to the $1,000 you are willing to spend on SEO. $300-$400 worth of content budget a month should get you started.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but no professional is going to work and get you "Results desired: 5,000-10,000 pageviews/day of quality traffic." for $100 a month.
