I totally get where you’re coming from though, when there’s an update and your main panel is down, tickets pile up, refunds start, and you’re already thinking about chargebacks. It can be very daunting. That being said, constantly jumping from panel to panel usually only helps short-term. Long-term it tends to leave you more exposed to volatile prices, refills that look good on paper but don’t really exist, fluctuating quality/speeds among other things. For small updates, sure sometimes another panel happens to be better prepared and still running. But the big updates usually hit everyone. By the time you’ve tested and moved your orders to a new panel that seems to work, most decent panels (including the original ones) have already adjusted and fixed their services.
So why stick to one? Because when big updates keep coming, more panels start cutting corners just to ride the wave. Big updates are happening more frequently, so what happens next is pretty predictable. The more different panels you’re using, the harder it is to notice when one of them quietly drops quality or stops honoring refills. If you keep most of your volume with one main panel, it’s much easier to spot when something has permanently changed versus just a temporary post-update wobble.
Plus, leverage matters! If you’re a regular client and most of your orders go through one provider, you’re in a much better position to negotiate, get honest answers and build a long-term relationship that actually works for your business. That way you can focus on conversions, marketing, scaling, even diversifying into other industries, instead of having to stop every 5 minutes to worry about the next update or absent refills.
