Looking for reliable proxy provider

Forget B*********. These people are trying to tell me that i should be running less than 100 threads on 30 proxies. Ah no!

Their proxies take a shit days after i start using GSA. Then i request new ones and it goes on and on. Im tried of this.

Who runs GSA on less than 100 threads i ask you? I should be able to run at least 300. My SSD box can handle 100LPM without issues.

So anyone out there offering reliable proxies where i can run it at 300 threads???

Are you using private proxies or shared ?

Admittedly it's been some time since I used GSA now, but I was using Buyproxies just like you without any issues at all. Makes me wonder if they are overselling their proxies. I mean even if you're on private proxies you're still most likely sharing network and hardware resources with a bunch of other folks, and if they're putting too many users on the same box it will lag. Just a thought, but doesn't help you either way of course...

Have you considered running on a VPS and turning off proxies?

To run at 10 threads per proxy you're going to need a provider that have their proxy servers on 1Gb unlimited ports. I only have 100Mb ports on my servers to keep the price down. I could work with 5 threads per proxy on my exclusive proxies, not sure that my servers would cope with 10 threads per proxy though.

A lot depends on the SE's you're hammering.

GSA has over 800 search engines to scrape from. Most of the content you scrape is indexed by Google whether you scrape using Google or not (well over 90%)
Proxies get burnt - banned - for hitting the same SE's over and agai. Selecting most of them (or say all the English SE's except Google) and proxies never seem to burn out.
If you do a PR check it's a guarantee that the sites you've scraped were indexed by Google anyway (AS we all know PR is Google's authority metric - for now)

Top tip? Use a lot more search engines - nearly everything you find will be in Google's index whether you use Google to search for it or not. and the 5-10% that isn't? So what?
The advantages outweigh the 10% of wasted time (though getting some none Google indexed URL's is not a complete waste of time IMO anyway)
