Hi,
I currently have a website hosted on DreamHost and am looking to switch. For what I get, a crowded server that is slow and unreliable, they charge too much. In the past two months the server has gone down at least a half dozen times for over 30-60 min. each -- and maybe a dozen other times for 10 min or less. Average page load time is around 7-10 seconds and average server response time is around 0.9-1.5 sec.

I'm looking for a new web host and would welcome any recommendations.

It's a small, niche website/blog on WordPress (non-Adult) with around 100-150 pages/posts and dozens of podcasts (hosted on libsyn not on server).

Looking for something reliable and ideally fairly fast around $10/mo. if possible for a yearly rate.

We have low traffic (20k visitors a mo.) but would like to be able to upgrade over time and not have to switch.

Reliability is #1 and Speed #2. Obviously cost is an issue as it's a not profitable site at the moment.

Looking at A2Hosting, HostWinds, iPage, Bluehost, FatCow... thoughts? Any other web hosts I should be considering?

Thanks for any suggestions!

I just moved from HG to HostWinds recently as they had a deal and reviews seems fine. So far everything is smooth.

They do have business plans which put your site into a much less crowded neighborhood.

Thanks for the review of HW! How is the speed? Did you sign up for a business plan or the standard shared service?

Try NameCheap Hosting... I know they are popular for the domains only but believe me, their hosting is also top-notch. Check them out

Definitely try out stablehost. Switched to them few months ago and nothing for me to complaint about. Super fast customer service. They are pretty cheap as well.

If you like them .This coupon is 40% off easz40off

I've had tons of hosts in the past few years, but I'm sticking with Green Geeks right now.

I've only used ipower. Not sure what to compare with but their customer service is fast and reliable and easy to understand, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage. I've got about 3 dozen sites on it and never noticed them being down before, but I'm, sure there has been times when it has. Easy control panel, WP, MySql, ad credits, 2500 email addresses and tons of other perks included. A bunch of up sells if needed, VPN, SSL etc. Oh, and fairly inexpensive, like $47 the first year, then $99 after that, depending on the plan.

I have been using Hostwinds for hosting (advanced plan) and poweruphosting for VPS.
Both are very good and top class support. Give them a try.

I'd recommend you to use hosting from QHoster.com.
This company has a lot of attractive features: over 90 payment methods including: PayPal, Payza, Neteller, Skrill, WebMoney, Perfect Money, Bitcoin, Litecoin, SolidTrust Pay, etc, instant activation and many otehr.
Servers have no downtime.

If you really want to test before you opt for subscription, I can offer you a free one month trial on my hosting.

I recommend http://www.hetzner.de/en/ they are pretty cheap and good quality.

I recommend hostrushdotcom i have been using this host for 1 year and this is great 99.99% Uptime. And no problem with my pages.

I went with the top business plan and speed is fine for me. If speed is your priority I would look into VPS but they are obviously more expensive. Or you want to find some speed test reviews online.

I've read some showing SiteGround, LiquidWeb and Small Orange offer very decent speed.

+1

I moved from HG to Namecheap shared hosting and my websites run a lot faster, big noticeable difference!

I would go with a VPS m8, there are tons of places that sale them.

But be warned, DO NOT EVER BUY A VPS FROM A COMPANY THAT DOESN'T SALE DEDICATED SERVERS!!!

That is the biggest must, because you never know what your be getting if you do.

There are a few different places that have very good VPS's and the best option I can come up with is Dacentec.
I have 3 dedicated servers with them and about 30 VPS's for clients of mine. Tip Top support, fast connection, there servers are not overloaded and many more reasons to go with them.

Again, you sound like your in need of ether a dedicated or VPS, and your budget a dedicated is out of the question but a VPS is right for you. PM me if you need more help m8.
