Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to do it yourself? Jailbreak it, install Ultrasnow and then if need be restore your device back to official firmware. (Your device will stay unlocked even if restored)

is it CDMA? you can always wait for iOS 6, that will have unlock. The developers decided not to bother with baseband 04.12.01, it was originally unlocked but patched later in May by Apple, iOS6 was already announced and they said it is useless to work for a new unlock when iOS 6 will be out so soon and everyone would want an unlock on it.
I got a new iPhone 4, 32 GB, black, iOS 5.1.1 and baseband 04.12.01, I got it for 140$ because the unlock is around 170$, but I'm not unlocking it, I'm waiting a few more weeks until iOS 6 rolls out.
You could try doing the same, ultrasn0w is free. I also wasted 30$ on a crappy unlock on some website that didn't even work, I called their support, mailed them, tried to get a refund with paypal and they refused me, they didn't even comment on that, they offered zero support and my money were basically given to them for... nothing. Quite sad actually.
Don't buy unlocks unless it's factory unlock, which is pretty damn expensive.

Bit of confusion here, as you said IMEI unlock, do you mean unblock the phone? as in it's barred?

no sim means CDMA. im afraid its a different kind of network and theres nothing you can do about it... you can still use it like an ipod touch. sell it cheaper as a CDMA or to someone thats on verizon.

Use UnlockiPhone-xDotCom . They provide factory unlocks for iphone for a reasonable price.

Jeez guys, some of you have no clue about unlocking. Not saying its bad, BUT when you don't have a clue, don't post your thoughts as facts and don't confuse other people!

4.12.01 is not unlockable other than with a Factory Unlock. If its AT&T, it can be done fast and relatively cheap. Other carriers are mostly more expensive, some of them over the top, so its not even worth to bother. If its AT&T, you can PM me, I can give you a good price I bet.

Beware of CrazyUnlocks, he is a known cheater. He will run up $200 worth of unlocks and dispute receiving them with Paypal. He uses several paypal accounts. Paypal is on to him............. PM if you need his contact info or IP address.
