Looking for input on using Visual Basic 6 today

Hello all,
I’m evaluating whether Visual Basic 6 still makes sense for maintaining or extending an older application. Before I move forward or bring in help, I’d like to hear from people who still work with VB6.
What are the main limitations or risks I should be aware of from a client/buyer point of view? Any insight is welcome.

Lol, just dropped a nostalgic tear. Visual Basic is something from the childhood and school projects. Any specific reason to use it today? E.g. instead of Go which you compile to any platform (mac/Linux/Windows)?
