Hey BHW!

I'm primarily a backend and infrastructure engineer and while I've dabbled in SEO and sales, I'm a much better engineer. There's a ton of information on here and it's honestly a bit overwhelming to know where to start. I'm not looking to sell anything (at least right now) and really just want to contribute to the community where I can. I'm curious if there are ideas from community members that would help the community here that they just don't know where to start on how to build that I could possibly help with and show my engineering chops. It would be great to be able to open source it and potentially have a video or two showing how to use the tool, but even if I don't get to open source it it would still be a lot more fun to have a project that I know at the end would be impactful for people instead of just playing a guessing game on what to build.

I'm the same, an engineer fascinated by BWT since quite some times now, only decided to make an account yesterday though.

I feel like what people are seeking are bots able to scrape data and render them and filter them in a way that's easily digestible for the human eye.
That or bots able to do very simple actions but very fast (without becoming suspicious) like clicking, copying, pasting, staying x amount of time on x page.
That or they have a specific plan, almost test map lol, of several actions the bot should do that all cumulated make one big action (filling a survey and sending it to x).

One helpful thing that would be excellent if open sourced would be sort of a mega tool able to automagte a lot of custom actions, big or small, and able to take in plan and break them into small automatable tasks and do them.

Or for non tech people :
Or a text to automate tool ? An AI that would take user input and automate for them. Not give them code that have to tweak and know how to us, fully automate for them (the user would have to give it all the data and permissions it needs to be fully autonomous, but the AI could list what it needs after the user described his need).

I'm guessing it would be downloaded locally and not stored somewhere like in S3?
