Looking for ideas on a domain name. [area-code]book.com

So I have some free time on my hands, and a domain I have had for about 5 or 6 months. . . I have a problem where I buy domains from time to time not knowing what I really want to do with them.

So I have the domain [area-code]book.com ([area-code] = the area code of a city)

The City is large with over 2 millions people and in the USA.

I have a few ideas, but looking for some other ideas. . Maybe something better than my ideas.

Most of my idea at this point are turning it in to a membership site, but with the lack of users and good content I dont see how I will get people to sign up.

My next best idea was a fiver type site, but just super local.

And the third idea putting a CL script on there and trying to drive traffic to it. . . Again with the lack of a user base it might be hard to get it going.

So what would you guys do with this kind of domain? Or would you say this is in the list of domains I will never end up using?

Pick 5 sites that already do a similar thing. Scrape the data from them. Organise it differently. Make money.

They were small not too long ago and have been growing quite well.

I would suggest.
Start with a blog. Content is simple to begin with. Write about places you go, business you like, etc. Later on, grab a newspaper and write about stuff in it that is important where you live
Add a business directory. Have a VA add some companies for you. Sell featured links, posts, etc
Add a city based forum.

Thats not a bad idea, I really like the newspaper idea.
