Looking For Help With Facebook Ads? Ask Me Anything

I have just started a new website with the intention of driving the majority of traffic from FB (a la viral news sites). We have had some successful video posts, with a decent reach (~over 150k on a single post) and some decent engagement. My only current problem is we aren't converting to a lot of page likes, which I think is the most important (allows us to get reach without having to promote). Right now our likes are all from FB ads third world targeting. Do you have any suggestions on gaining U.S./UK etc followers at a low cost? I know you suggested against buying likes, but are there any tips or tricks to basically convert boosted post content to Page likes? Is it just a matter of users repeatedly seeing new content from us and trusting us? Thanks for any help!!

Lets say im total beginner how much time i need to learn the basics and except the first salary . Few months or more ?

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with everyone!!

1. Let's assume I own Ford and want to sell more Ford Mustangs (brand name). For the sake of this scenario we will also assume the targeted users have never heard of Ford but are highly receptive to new brands because the product type is in high demand... Would it be more beneficial to target users who like Chevrolet Camaros (competitor brand, same niche), sports cars (product type), or fans of major dealership FB pages (opposing retailers). If the answer is all three, should we target each one individually with their own ad?

2a. Should we advertise for page likes or website clicks? It feels like it's harder to reach back out to our fans. Granted we have less than 2500 fans but even still, 10-35 impressions seems unreasonably low per post.
2b. OR should we build 10 product landing pages and create 10 ads targeting differing demo's (maybe with some crossover) for site clicks within the niche and have them buy directly from the individual product landing page? Is that a better option than using the 10 ads to send them straight to the product page within the ecommerce site?
2c. Again, speaking in generalizations, would option 2b net higher conversions than using 1 ad to direct the entire demo to the homepage / a single landing page. (Whichever is more effective)

3. Should we avoid creating ads directly through our brand and personal FB pages.

Im sure I can think of a dozen more questions but I'm not looking for a babysitter and this question became unintentionally long winded lol. Tyvm for your willingness to help. We can speak on this in detail through Skype moving forward if need be.

1) I would go after the competitors first and foremost. But whenever you are splitting up targeting I always recommend split testing in multiple different campaigns so you can track which performs the best not only CPC-wise but performance wise as well.

2a) I don't play with page likes ever unless I'm warming up an account these days.

2b) Really depends on what you're advertising. The more targeted you get is typically the better (ROI wise at least).

2c) ^^

3) Meaning have a backup ads account or what? Not 100% sure what you mean by this.

Do you use CPM, CPI or what for google play installs? and should I use $0.01 click with low cpm?

I also have problem with getting my fb ad approved. It is about sports betting. Any ideas please?

Just looking to help and give back to this community as much as possible. Not claiming I'm the best by any means so please no trolls, but have made a steady profit with FB for quite some time now.

Hi, I got my fb ad account suspended, second time. I did use different ip address to create account and different credit card. Got the message that ads violated terms of service. I did have one ad where I mentioned network marketing. The landing page was to fb marketing training. I think it might be this ad, but maybe not. I do see successful marketers ad mentioning network marketing business?

I also run an ad in estonian where the text stated income online is simple, culd this be the violation? No claims- make 10000 in one month was staed and landing page was to webinar registration.

I created new fb profile using my name.

Is it possible that my real name is somehow connected to all this? Or if I were to mask my ip address, let's say Germany and use a payment method as paypal, is that ok?

If I then log into FB from my actual ip address (used to create my very first ad account) will facebook connect the dots?

Any advice is much appreciated?

Thank you,
Marko

How do you get around the stupid IP policies. I was making very good profit from Facebook Ads and spending a considerable amount of money with them. I then changed my credit card due to expiry and boom they said it was suspicious activity and haven't had my account re-activated. Have you ever experienced this? I've researched the issue and can see some people think its related to a sudden change in IP.

I had the same issue but Actually it's pretty simple, you have to use the Facebook business manager and here you can create a new Advertising account

What kind of payment can be done for FB ads? Will a VCC work?

Whenever I try to start a facebook ad campaign I get a message about service not available or something like that. I've checked the registered payment methods and the ad I am trying to run is about a survey website, so its not against the rules or anything. What do you think this can be?

Thanks.

I have a Paid Facebook Photo Ad Post that was cranking on Facebook until account got shut down. I have 2 options. One is to keep getting FB accounts and try to recreate or to find a way to send cheap non Facebook traffic directly to this active post and have it continue to grow. It has thousands of shares and likes.......anybody have ideas for making this happen?

Shops, services and products best promote new forms of advertising - such as multi-product Ads. The settlement of the CPA - so goes cheaply and effectively.

I've been having a great deal of trouble warming up facebook accounts. Every attempt to get ads spending results in a ban. Any tips oh how to get accounts warmed up without issues?

You should use, as mentioned above, the facebook biz manager, an easy way is to start promoting some regular business, ask a friend, a relative for a small budget, promote their Web design business, Hairdressing studio or whatever they do offline, use other's money to build up some reputation and ofc, do it the best you can in order to actually deliver some results to your friends.
