Hey all ,I've been on BHW for a little while now, learning to promote my own online store, but realize I should be making some extra cash with the products and affiliates.

So i've just joined CB, but not sure where to start, any suggestions on what to pick, should i go for the big 75% commission ones or is there something that is better to get my feet wet with ?

    thanx for your help

You need to use your own judgement on what to promote based on the following criteria:

1)Popularity - if its on of the most popular products in its niche then sales are good.
2)Gravity - If many people are making sales then another good indicator of a good converting product. Gravity of 40 - 150 is what most people recommend as higher gravity would be too competitive and lower than that range may be too low. Unless of course if its a new hot product with gravity of 8 today but potential to hit above 100 in future.
3)Launch date - How long as the product been in the market? The longer its been around then means its a quality product taking 1) and 2) into account.
4)Sales page - Does the sales page look good?
5)Product - Would you buy this product? Do you like the product and think it has good potential for sales.
6)If a new product, does it look like it has a alot of potential? These are the best as competition is low at the start and if you hit a top selling product early then you will make good money before others get on board
7)Commission - The higher the better. But also you need to weigh this against the above. So higher commission product that doesn't sell much is obviously worse than a lower commission product that converts well for you.

Hi, "Gravity" is a score that Clickbank assigns to each affiliate product according to the number of sales that affiliates are making in a selected period of time, so like bestmate said if many affiliates are making sales then its a good indicator that the product converts well.
Also a good way to find information about all the clickbank products including gravity, commission, total $/sale, and lauching date its the site cbengine.com

Gravity simply indicates how many different affiliates have made a sale recently. So gravity of 50 means 50 different affiliates have made at least 1 sale. It doesn't tell you how many sales total have been made unfortunately.
