Well I have been in the IM game for over 10 years now and I am sort of sad to say it is coming to an end as a full time job. I am taking a job that is just to good to turn down but I am kicking around the idea of finding a few partners to keep some of my more profitable things going or change the business model some to fit my limited time. So before I go into the sales pitch about what I have to offer let me tell you what I am looking for and what I am not. I want to find someone that is not lazy. Everyone seems to think that the internet is full to get rich quick idea and after 10 years I can tell you most of the guys looking for that never make any money. I am not looking for someone that is broker and has no money. For one reason obviously if you have no money you are not very motivated and I am not just going to give away half or a third of my business for nothing. I want to find one or two guys to help me run what has been a very profitable business.
Here is what I do.....
I have a custom build wordpress plugin that will allow me to build high content niche classified ad sites in less than 15mins that work a lot like a autoblog. You set the site up and tell it what type of product that classified ad site is about and it will go out to some other free classified ad sites and pull listings for that item in over 430 different markets. For example if you want to build a site for Mustang Cars then the site will search for listings for Mustangs in over 430 different cities and get those listings and put them on our site. After two weeks the ads are removed from the other free classified ad sites so at that point the content becomes unique to our site. Many of these sites end up with 10k or more listings on them and anytime you have that much content you will get a lot of long tail search listings. Here are a few key points to using this software
I have spent about two years developing this program. I have mostly been just building the sites and selling them and I am sure those of you that are on DP a lot have seen or even bought a few of them. I will sell them from $20 up to $400 depending on the age, traffic, rankings, ect. Even if I sell them for $20 (I only do this if I get the domain name for $1 from godaddy using coupons, otherwise they are priced higher) I still make a great hourly rate. If it only takes 15 mins to build the site and I sell it for $20 that is still almost $80 per hour.
While DP, flippa, ebay, and craigslist are good markets to sell the site I also do a lot of sales prospecting in niche markets. For example I will build a lot of city specific real estate sites using this script that will pull for sale by owner real estate listings from a certain city. Then using some databases of email addresses we have I email the site to all the local real estate agents offering them the site (I price them a little higher to them). Those sites are great for them because not only do they have a site to brand their real estate service but they also now have a database of email addresses for all the for sale by owner customers in their local market. Just one listing in two years can pays for the cost of the site 10 times. It is also great in the car business to build city specific car classified ad sites and sell them to dealers. We have a list of 400 markets that we work in. If we find one real estate agent and one car dealer in all 400 cities that is 800 sites per year and a average profit of over $100 per site that is a $80k a year side business.
Craigslist is a great place to market the sites as well. We have even ran ads in the free section and gave the sites away. We will host the sites or send them to hostgator.com via our affiliate link which pays us $125 per sign up so we will profit over $100 on the site even if we give it away or we will just host it on our reseller server and make a monthly profit from the site. We have a lot of different ways we market the sites. There are just not enough hours in the day to get everything done for just a couple part time people.
Selling the sites is just one part of the business but because it is quick and easy cash that is what I have always focused on. This is also a great way to build hosting clients. I had built up about 300 sites hosted on our reseller servers (recently sold them) but this is a great method to build long term hosting client income or you can give them away and just get the referral from hostgator. In total I have sold well over 300 sites and custom built about another 40 for clients that bought sites that wanted more.

Selling the Plugin
I have never marketed or sold the plugin that we use. I just didnt want a lot of people competing with my sites so unless the buyer got the plugin with a site he bought I have never just sold it. The plugin works with awpcp.com's classified plugin. They have had 135,000 downloads of their software so it is a very popular plugin. I have always considered marketing the plugin to people running their classified plugin. Even if we just sold to 1% of the people that have downloaded that software and sold it for $99.95 per install that is still a $135,000 profit.
This is a market I would like to explore if I can find the right partner to take on this task.

Running the sites
I would sell anything for the right price lol. When I started to project my idea was to just build a large amount of these niche classified ad sites and just keep them and earn a little from adsense each month. Basically a MFA network of classified ad sites that did not require a lot of work. That would be a great idea but I just keep selling the sites and never end up keeping many for myself. I do have some that I have had for about a year but I mostly have just sold off the sites for the fast easy money.
The average site I have after about 90 days (faster if you do any seo) will earn about $15 to $20 per month in adsense income. I would also like to find a partner that would be interested in building out a network of about 100 sites and just keeping them and doing limited SEO work on each one (I have a lot of good seo software) and setting up a steady stream of adsense income. Even if we get each site earning $10 a month that is still $1k a month in income with very little work once the sites are built.
We do not have to just stop at 100 sites but I want to build out 100 to start with and go from there. The types of sites are endless that you can build. We build a lot of brand specific sites like car sites for corvettes, Ford F150 trucks, Range Rovers, ect. And we build ones for classic cars like 1957 chevys, GTO's, 1968 camaros, ect. We can build real estate sites. Even odd items like old time gas pumps and coke machines that are very collectible do very well.
We also have sites like freestuffinatlanta.com and freestuffclassifiedads.com that are good concepts that work very well. We also run service based sites like http://designleaddaddy.com/ that use the same software. I have over 400 different concepts we can use for national sites and then a lot of great real estate and auto related that we can run city by city. Also job sites do well and you can make them general by city or industry specific like legal jobs or construction jobs.

Ideally I would like to have one person in charge of building and selling the small cheap sites, one person in charge of selling the plugin as a business, and one person running a network of 100 to 200 niche classified ad sites. I am not just interested in giving someone part of the business. I have spend a lot of time and money over the past year to get this business to the point where it is making good money so there will be some kind of investment to be made. I am thinking around $2500 to $3k. To build 100 sites out it cost at least $850 in domain names and then the labor to build the sites. So if any of your guys that have had any success in IM want to take on a new project PM and we can discuss further.

- Lots of pages to index for the search engines. I have a boat site I built six months ago that I only build 25 back links to it and it gets over 8k visitors per month from 1400 different keywords. Many of them long tail keywords
- Full automated. Even if no visitors are listing ads the site still gets fresh content each day
- Several ways to earn. Adsense, Listing fees, cpa programs, even content locking
- Very high page views. Ask yourself if you are looking for a Mustang or a Apple iphone and you find a site with thousands and thousands of them listing..would you stick around and very a lot of pages?
