Looking for guidance

I am just starting out. I am interested in building "niche" sites. I read a post about how to get started doing this. Any info on the subject will be helpful. i would like to have some sites up and making $$ in the future. I am very motivated and have time to work on these. I just need some no-how.

Website = finding niche+writting content+ seo

For the niche:
1. Make a list of things you would love to write about
2. Make a list of things you would not mind writting about

Get some relevant keywords and do some research about these stuff.

Useful tools are the google keyword generator, yahoo site explorer and any software that might help you check amount of potential visitors and competition.
