Looking for free icons and vectors

Hello there!

I'm desperately looking for free images or toon image sets on the net with I can use for promotional purposes, but with poor results. I seem to find a cartload of icons regarding social media, buttons and such, but the ones I'm looking for are more generic.

I'd like to find collections of everyday objects, people, animals, symbols etc.

I've searched this section of the forum and the video production one, but I only found headers, buttons, etc.

Is there any good source for finding free good quality vectors and icons (no photos), possibly entire sets?
