I am a software developer by day based out of TX and I looking for someone with exceptional digital marketing skills to be what is essentially the CMO for a SaaS business I am launching in the next few weeks.
I have been developing the software required to provide the service for the past few months now and am now starting on building the website where the service will be delivered (everything has been hand-coded by me and is entirely custom, no WP, Shopify, etc).
The service essentially provided an analysis of various amounts of data and gives valuable insight from this analysis. This is the main offering, and in addition, they will also gain access to the community of other subscribers.
We are going to charge $299.95 a month or an annual price of $2999.95 (I am open to discussing different pricing strategies but I think this is a good start and we can adjust based on performance).
Based on the market (can offer the service globally), it is not unrealistic to maintain an average active number of subscribers of about 700-1000 users at any given time. Realistically, I think this number can achieve 5,000 but we will start with a goal of 700-1000 users.
The LLC that controls the business has already been formed in the state of Texas (I own 100% of it). The company already has bank accounts set up, and all payment processing services (using Braintree) are registered in the company's name/linked to the company bank account.
You will not be required or expected to use any of your own money while working on this project. I have up to $15,000 I can invest in ads/marketing/branding/etc. Ideally won't need to spend this much to start cash flowing, and then we will be re-investing the cash flow (minus your cut) into the business till we scale to our goal.
Please do not contact me if you are an agency or firm soliciting your services. You will not be paid for any time spent on the project outside of 10% cut of all cash flow generated.
All candidates MUST be located in the US to be considered, if you are in Texas, that is even better! This will be a very close/long-term relationship. I will be verifying your information (name/age/address/clean credit/criminal records -lack thereof!/etc.) before any contracts are signed.
All candidates must be very experienced marketers and have a track record of success handling the marketing/branding of products/services sold entirely online (direct to consumer). Again, I am essentially looking for a CMO to handle all of our marketing/branding decisions. I will have the final say for any decisions as the majority owner (yes or no), but will heavily rely on you to come up with the marketing & branding plans/executing them (running, optimizing, and tweaking ads, handling copy of sales page, email marketing campaigns/sequences, social media marketing, etc).
For compensation, I would like to start with a 6-month contract that will entitle you to 10% of all net revenue produced during the length of the contract. After this first initial 6 months, we can resign the contract and/or discuss providing you up to a 10%-15% equity stake in the company.
