Hey, So I have been investing quite some time on Buying VPS Servers and testing out different panels there are to find out the right one I can use once I commence hosting myself. I am currently using hostinger but I feel like If I can get my hands on unmanaged VPS Hosting and handle everything myself. I can save a lot of money. I do not wish to invest in cpanel. There are obviously reseller hosting packagers like the cheapest one I could find was 15$ a month from namehero that gives 40 cpanel accounts which would be equally cheap I think. What are your thoughts on this?

Should I Buy a Reseller Hosting or get a VPS Hosting and set up my own panel? If yes Which Paneldo you guys think would work best? I tried ISPConfig, CWP, VirtualMin and a couple of more but none seem to agree with me. I had bugs here and there.

AAPanel, cyberpanel, webuzzo, centos control panel, vestacp but not recommended.

You can search the forum, someone on here discuss about getting free rdp for 24 hours use,why can’t you manage this to expand in productivity first and later invests in good VPS

I can get RDP using Amazon AWS for basically free which I learned recently even though I was looking for more info on people using some sort of panel for their business and are going good with it. I have not really managed to find any good updated videos or youtubers / guides on any panels with make me think that it is not a popular alternative to opt for free panels compared to cpanel.

Webmin is what you should use.:)

There is other control panel called Vista.
You may want to check that as well?
That has pretty good user interface .

I advise you looking for one that get used a lot and plenty of forum and YouTube help.

Above was best choice.

Webmin

I use cyberpanel on my DigitalOcean droplet. You can check it out + it's free.

I just checked it. Looks pretty cool and also can make user accounts for other people.

Hey, So does this mean you personally use webmin? Or have you just had experience with it in the past?

Not sure what the answers will help you as the questions does not have any real information.
I USED and still USE webmin and many others free / paid panels and i recommended you Webmin.

You should not just rely on the users comments. Just collect the names and have a VPS then deploy and see yourself. Everyone has different taste and requirements so you will see what you need.

Best Regards

I understand what you mean and that is exactly what I am doing. I have already tested some earlier like CWP, ISPConfig, etc but could not find a lot of resources for those online. I looked into Webmin as well, but keeping my options open for the moment.

As for what I am basically looking for is a reason to get into VPS and a Free Panel. I am able to get 40 CPanel accounts as a Reseller Hosting option on Namehero for 15$ a month. If I go for a VPS and a FREE CPanel, I can reduce that cost by half, or even a little more but What I am more worried about is handling the server-side part of the setup if there are no real guides out there. I have looked at various VPS Options and I found an EU VPS server for 5 Euro's a month with 4vCPU Cores and 8GB RAM and 200GB SSD. In your expert opinion, How Many Sites would a server like this be able to handle? and will webmin be the right choice here if I plan to give some sort of panel access to users/clients?

Hi, is there a particular reason you opt for Digital Ocean? From the Prices I compare it is not the very cheap?

No reason in particular. I just like their service + it's cheap and reliable for the features you get.

CWPpro has cPanel to CWP server mass migration tool do not know to may others out there with easy mass migration tool plus will support Centos
CloudLinux RockyLinux

I tried aapanel, ISPConfig, CWP, Webmin, direct admin etc.

Among them i prefer aapanel basically for userfriendliness and easiest maintaining but for personal use. Another reason is to use it completely free.

We use DirectAdmin after running Cpanel exclusively for almost 2 decades. DA is a solid platform, time tested, securable, and easy to manage.
