I would say you've noticed the rate from a wrong place. That is the rate for basic SEO content maybe, but proper copywriting costs around what you can see in the BST that Duffers linked.
 
This should be in hire a freelancer section. OP post correctly next time. You can get someone at odesk for that price. Hire indian or philiphian writer, good quality at cheap price.
 
you wont'get quality for that price.... but then again... the people that are going to use your website
are not going to focus on the articles anyway...
 
At that rate you're going to get Engrish, so why bother? If you only need 20 pieces, it would be better to save up until you can afford to hire a *good* native English writer.

You get what you pay for, surely the ladies can turn enough profit to pay a writer or maybe you can work out a trade system.
 
Copyroast: just embed an RSS feed on your site and get the content flowing in (affordable prices as well), but the biggest benefit: no need to chase content anymore :)
