Looking for cheap/free .com domain

Anybody knows any good offer for .com domain with whois protection?

namecheap.com

Google "99 cent domain" and click on the Go daddy ad for a .99 domain. Word of warning though these cheap offers are only to lure you in. Renewal is expensive at twice/higher than namecheap. My advice, pay a few dollars more with namecheap, or namesilo. Namesilo has free private whois.
