hey guys,

i did search here quiet a bit, but not sure which hosting I should use.

basically I want to host WordPress blogs for some affiliate projects, but want me to be 100% anonymous in that. so only register with email address and pay with prepaid credit card or with crypto.

in my country its very common to get letters from lawyers that want to fuck you over, and I dont want to deal with that anymore. Iam nost hosting any illegal stuff, regular affiliate pages - the only "illegal" would be sometimes its a bit of spun content that I took from other people thats about it though.

so i need anonymous hosting + domain registration and I plan to register about 10-20 pages, which should get about 1000 hits per month per page. so 20k monthly traffic max ( just estimated, but should be about that, maybe 50k max max)

I found the https://theonionhost.com, which is from a member here? it seems quite fine for about 7USD per month + yearly costs for the domains, which service they offer too.
anyone got experience with them and some reviews?

or any other hosting company you can recommend?

I think he covered everything here. I have used Shinjiru, ReveneueServer, Alexhost, and ntup for offshore hosting and they're all good. Just talk to the support before ordering the hosting, because sometimes they change their ToS.

I think I might have an idea what country you mean :p If I might ask, how are you going about the issue that most big affiliate programs in Europe require you to have your personal details which you used to sign up for their program displayed visibly on your website as well? Or are you just targeting non-EU markets?

Are there any managed (or Wordpress) DMCA ignored hosts, either shared or VPS? So far I only founds easydns. They seem legit, but I think their price is per domain, and that's a tad high if you have a couple websites.

Offshore and anonymous are a bit different solutions. I think in any way you will need to have some kind of presales conversation to understand that your potential provider will be able to provide you what you have been looking for exactly.

oh shit i havent even though about it, I think for amazon its clearly neccessary to say that. i gotta dig more into that. if its neccessary to say the name / adresse and stuff. or if its fine to just say "domainname.com" is an amazon partner.. or how ever the wording is.

got that you told me, completely forgot about that

If you are in the EU, and worst of all if you are in Germany, you need to display a full imprint on your website, including name, address, VAT number etc. If you don't have that or if the contact details in your imprint don't match the details you gave Amazon or other big affiliate companies, they won't accept you. "Domainname.com is an amazon partner" doesn't work in the EU. Kindly notify me if you learn a way around that :)

I mean, you can add an imprint as an image instead of text (not a longterm solution since it's not accessible for people with vision impairment, so sooner or later you will get letters from lawyers, but should be enough for Amazon), no-index it and remove it after your site got approved as an Amazon partner, but then people will still be able to see it on archive.org. To avoid that, you also need to block their crawler somehow. Also, you risk getting banned if for some reason Amazon checks your website a second time later on and discovers that your imprint is missing or incorrect.

jeah its about germany. iam an amazon partner for about 4 years now. so the problem is not about getting accepted. usually for all my pages right now, I use all my correct data as in my amazon account + add those domains into the amazon account too.

damn I thought iam just going to add the page into the amazon account and could have the rest anonymous. so the thing is now, should I just risk it and not mention anything and hope amazon will never check, which I kinda doubt they will ever do. or find another way. or just use ebay, not sure what their rules are though. but ebay also converts way worse. hmm ill find a solution. but thanks for your input

I am in a similar position. Amazon usually checks every website that gets added, so I don't see that working. I suspected eBay to have similar rules in place concerning the website imprint, I know some other companies have. Should this not be the case, eBay would indeed be an alternative. If you find a working way for Amazon or eBay, I'd appreciate it if you dropped me a PM ;)

Depending on the niche, smaller affiliate networks are a possibility since they are often less strict. Ads also work.

Right now I am looking for a DMCA ignoring managed hosting service, but I only found one so far, and that's kinda expensive. Maybe I'll put up with a regular unmanaged host, although I like the comfort that comes with my current managed host. I got my domains from Njal.la, works like a charm.

You need to choose a hosting provider who's datacenter is geographically close to your target audience. Also a host that is fairly close to you, since you'll be the one accessing the hosting the most.
