Looking for an offshore CDN to replace Cloudflare 2026

Hey everyone,

I'm currently using Cloudflare but looking to move to a more privacy-friendly / offshore CDN. I need something that won't drop my content or account over complaints.

What I'm after:

- Offshore / DMCA-ignored or lenient
- Good for caching and delivering video content (high bandwidth, low latency)
- Reverse proxy / origin hiding so my backend stays protected
- Generous or unmetered bandwidth — streaming heavy
- Solid global network / POPs for decent speeds
- Reasonable pricing

I'd rather pay more for a provider that's stable and won't fold at the first abuse report. Seedbox-style or niche providers are fine if they deliver.

If you've actually used a CDN that fits this — who would you recommend and why? Providers to avoid are welcome too.

From my experience CDN rarely get into DMCA concerns, just make sure that the endpoint is DMCA ignored. Try out bunny CDN

I use Cloudflare CDN and R2. I haven't had any DMCA takedowns yet, but I want to avoid any potential takedowns.

What's dubious or downright false: • “Offshore data centers” / “more privacy-focused than Cloudflare” / “lenient policy” — this is what they're selling you, and this is where the mistake lies. Fastly is a publicly traded US company listed on the NYSE. It's 100% subject to the DMCA and US subpoenas, and has a fairly standard Acceptable Use Policy. It's not “offshore” or “permissive” in any useful sense. It's as strict as, or even stricter than, Cloudflare regarding abuse reports, not less so. Whoever told you that is confusing “good for end-user privacy” (TLS, etc.) with “tolerant of content that generates complaints,” which are completely different things. • “Solid pricing model that scales” — here's the other big problem. Fastly is expensive and enterprise-oriented. Its egress pricing is among the highest in the market (much higher than Bunny, higher than Cloudflare). It doesn't have a real free/cheap tier for someone starting out. For "heavy streaming" in a small/medium-sized project, Fastly's price tag can be quite a shock compared to Bunny.

ERANET try them maybe i think they are still good. But i have heard some horror stories of late buy with crypto or vcc the latter worked for me...

Thanks. What do you think of Offshorededicated.net? I see they have super low prices; I'm a bit wary, but I might give them a try for a month and see how it goes.

Yeah, that Fastly correction is basically true. Fastly is not “offshore” in the sense you need, it's a US public company and they won’t ignore proper complaints. Good CDN technically, bad fit if your main requirement is complaint tolerance.

Also don’t confuse privacy-friendly with abuse-lenient, lot of people mix those up. Bunny, Fastly, Cloudflare, CDN77 etc can all be fine for legit video delivery, but none of them are “won’t fold on reports” providers.

For your case I’d be careful with super cheap offshore hosts too. Low price + “DMCA ignored” usually means overloaded network, weak support, or they disappear when pressure comes. Test 1 month with non-critical traffic and ask them directly how they handle copyright complaints before moving anything serious.

Any solid or legit host that is marketing itself out in the open should have their DMCA policy in place.

So it's more of a question whether your business model can work with such particular DMCA policy.

Yeah @toutouni, your correction is basically true. Fastly is great tech, but not for this use case... US public company, standard abuse handling, expensive bandwidth for video. People confuse “privacy/security focused CDN” with “complaint tolerant” all the time.

For heavy streaming I wouldn’t trust any provider just because they say DMCA ignored on the landing page either. Ask them directly how they handle complaints, test 1 month with non-critical traffic, and watch the actual throughput during peak hours. Super cheap offshore + unlimited bandwidth usually means oversold network or they start inventing limits once you push real traffic.
